The Manny and the Nanny
July 27

He's a nanny. So is she. Together, they're an all-American couple competing toward the million dollar minute on... Minute to Win It!

They are ERNIE & CHRISTA FELTS from San Diego, CA. They have been married for a year.

LEVEL 1: FLOATACIOUS: One player from each team will make a tower of five empty soda cans on a floating plastic plate in a bowl of water. It must stay afloat for a three-count.

And as always... "Failure to complete this task in 60 seconds may result in ELIMINATION."

First attempt (Christa)... COMPLETE (:09, $1000)

LEVEL 2: KNOCK IT OFF: Using a yo-yo and a contestant's lassoing skills, the contestant must knock off three out of five potato-chip cans perched at various heights while keeping the bottom one perched.

First attempt (Ernie)... COMPLETE! (:32, $2500)

LEVEL 3: PUDDLE JUMPER: The contestants must blow three ping pong balls each from one water-filled cup to another.

First attempt... COMPLETE (:27, $5000)

LEVEL 4: PROPELLER HEAD: The contestants must launch a Chinese propeller and land it in a basket 15 feet away.

First attempt... COMPLETE (:18, $10,000)

LEVEL 5: RAPID FIRE: Using only their fingers, contestants must use rubber bands to knock a pyramid of six soda cans off of a table surface.

First attempt... COMPLETE (:02, $50,000)

LEVEL 6: SWITCHEROO: Using blowing alone, a contestant must transfer five red ping-pong balls to an adjoining pan to switch with five white ping-pong balls.

First attempt (Ernie)... FAIL (TIME OUT, TWO lives remaining)

Second attempt (Ernie)... FAIL (TIME OUT, ONE life remaining)

Final attempt (Christa)... FAIL (GAME OVER). But the Felts leave with $50,000.

Next to play in the 60-Second Circle is AMANDA CONTRERAS (Snowflake, AZ), a single mom and a pranic healer. She's partnered with TIM SAVARD (North Easton, MA), a hardwood floorer who loves playing poker. He wants to play in the World Series.

LEVEL 1: BUCKET HEAD: Standing five feet from a wall, players must bounce 3 ping-pong balls each off of a floor onto the wall and into a bucket on his head one at a time.

First attempt... COMPLETE (:36, $1000).

LEVEL 2: GIVE IT A WHIRL: Using an inverted wine glass, the contestant must use centrifugal force to keep a marble spinning while it is being transported to a bowl downstage. This must be done THREE times.

First attempt (Tim)... COMPLETE! (:28, $2500)

LEVEL 3: FIELD GOAL:  The contestants must construct a field goal upright by balancing six plastic cups on a yardstick that is being balanced by another plastic cup. This must be held for a three count.

First attempt (Amanda)... FAIL (TIME OUT, TWO lives remaining)

Second attempt (Amanda) ... COMPLETE! (:11, $5000)

How far will they go in their search for the million? Find out next week!
