The Odd Couple
May 18

Tonight, can a mild-mannered math teacher and a youth group leader/super powered grandmother team up to take the 60-Second Circle for $1 million dollars without driving each other crazy?

The aforementioned players are MIKE NEUMANN (San Diego) and MARGIE FOGAL (Orange County, CA).

LEVEL 1: CANDELIER: Using paper plates and a lot of aluminum cans, the contestant must construct an inverted pyramid of cans, with one on the bottom, followed by two, and so on, until there is a five-story structure.

As always... "Failure to complete this task in 60 seconds may result in ELIMINATION."

First attempt (Mike)... COMPLETE! (:17, $1000)

LEVEL 2: WORM DIVING: Using a single gummy worm as bait, a contestant must reel in a single pretzel and consume the pretzel without using their hands.

First attempt (Margie)... FAIL (TIME OUT, TWO lives remaining)

Second attempt (Mike)... COMPLETE! (:24, $2500)

LEVEL 3: SPEED ERASER: Using a pencil's rubber eraser, a contestant have to bounce seven pencils into seven glasses.

First attempt (Margie)... COMPLETE! (:28, $5000)

LEVEL 4: DROP BALL: The contestant must remove a water bottle, which is on top of a five gallon water jug, so that a golf ball drops into the jug. This must be done TWO times out of seven.

First attempt (Mike)...  COMPLETE! (:51, $10,000)

LEVEL 5: TUNA ROLL: A standard tuna tin has a beveled edge on the bottom and a wider rim on top, causing it to circle back when rolled like a boomerang. A contestant must boomerang these tins to knock down four soda bottles.

First attempt (Mike)...  COMPLETE (:35, $50,000)

LEVEL 6: BRIDGE THE GAP: The contestant must build a continuous span of 52 standard playing cards across two books, finishing with the empty box in the middle.

First attempt (Margie)... COMPLETE (:01, $75,000)

LEVEL 7: PINK ELEPHANT: The contestant must swing a plastic spring to land square on their forehead.

First attempt (Mike)... COMPLETE (:46, $125,000)

LEVEL 8: FRANKENSTEIN: The contestant, arms out-stretched, must pick up three yard sticks with size-D batteries balanced at both ends and place them back at the starting point after walking around the pickup point.

First attempt (Margie)... FAIL (KNOCK OUT at :38, ONE LIFE remaining)

FINAL attempt (Mike)... FAIL (KNOCK OUT at :29, GAME OVER). But they will split $50,000. And we'll split until SUNDAY.
