Soul Sisters Tonight, the Minute to Win It summer continues with two friends and two sets of two sisters each all hoping to climb two money ladders two get two a million. It's all two much for one hour... but that's what we're getting anyway. First up, SHALAINA FOTHERINGHAM (Orem, UT) & MARINA SHAW (Seattle). Everyone thinks that they're sisters, but they're really just BFFs... who claim to be dorks. I don't know of any dorks who look like that, but any dork is a good dork in my book. Marina wants to send her brother to school Shalaina wants to send her parents on a honeymoon that they never had. LEVEL 1: NICE BUILD: Use 15 reams of copy paper to created a three-story pyramid structure. And as always... "Failure to complete this task in 60 seconds may result in ELIMINATION." First attempt.. COMPLETE! (:16, $1000) LEVEL 2: NOODLING AROUND: Using only one uncooked strand of spaghetti in their mouth, a contestant must pick up SIX pieces of penne pasta from the table. Any use of hands or dropped pasta is a foul, resulting in an automatic loss of life. First attempt (Shalaina)... COMPLETE! (:05, $2500) LEVEL 3: MAZE CRAZE:
The contestant must use quick reflexes to maneuver a marble down a maze of
rubber bands without it falling off the edge. Second attempt (Shalaina)... FAIL (TIME OUT, ONE life remaining) FINAL attempt (Marina)... COMPLETE! (:06, $5000) LEVEL 4: ON THE REBOUND: A contestant must shoot a ping-pong ball off of a clipboard attached to their partner and into a wastebasket. This must be done THREE times. Only attempt... COMPLETE! (:41, $10,000). LEVEL 5: SPOON FROG: A contestant must use a teaspoon to launch another teaspoon into a glass. This must be repeated TWICE each. Only attempt.... FAIL (TIME OUT, GAME OVER). Shalaina & Marina will be walking away with $1000. FINAL attempt (Steve-O)... COMPLETE! (:08, $50,000) Next up, ELIZABETH & KASSANDRA CARRILLO, sisters from Sylmar, CA who have a pet goose. They want to help their parents get a better house (currently, they live in a two-bed house). They're up against CARA & BECCA SEYMOUR from Ashtabula, OH. Cara is a student at Julliard, while Becca works in finance. They're playing for their grandparents to retire and to preserve the family farm. But, since this is a head-to-head game, only one team of sisters can win. First to four gets $50,000. H2H LEVEL 1: STACK ATTACK: Using 36 plastic cups, erect a pyramid structure, then deconstruct it by sliding the cups downward diagonally into one single stack. Winner... BECCA (SEYMOURS lead, 1-0) H2H LEVEL 2: PING TAC TOE: Using red and white ping-pong balls as Xs and Os and nine water-filled glasses as a grid, you must get three in a row either across, up and down or diagonally. Winner... KASSANDRA (TIED at 1) H2H LEVEL 3: A BIT DICEY:
One player must balance six dice on a popsicle stick using only their mouths.
