Tonight, a father and his son will join
forces to race to the million. But it won't be that easy, because
they'll be facing off against a mother/daughter duo with eyes on the
Team 1: ANTHONY & HUGO RIZZUTO from
Revere, MA. They're... an odd couple. They'll play against HEIDI
BILLINGTON & DONNA SPEAKMAN from Las Vegas.
They're playing a best-of-seven matchup.
First team to win four banks $50,000 and moves to the Level 6 blueprint.
LEVEL 1: FLOATACIOUS:
One player from each team will make a tower
of five empty soda cans on a floating plastic plate in a bowl of water.
It must stay afloat for a three-count.
And as always... "Failure to complete
this task in 60 seconds may result in ELIMINATION."
First up, it's HEIDI vs. HUGO. WINNER:
HUGO (Anthony/Hugo up, 1-0)
LEVEL 2: EXTREME HANKY PANKY.
In a text of ambidexterity, or as the computer
calls it, "lefty-righty skills", the player must use BOTH hands to empty two
boxes of tissues.
HEIDI will take on ANTHONY. WINNER: HEIDI (Tie
LEVEL 3: THE NUTSTACKER:
A nut is useless without a bolt. A chopstick is useless without another. Using
only a chopstick, a contestant must stack eight nuts vertically on a table.
HEIDI takes on HUGO next. WINNER: HUGO
(Anthony/Hugo up, 2-1)
LEVEL 4: OFFICE DOMINOES:
Using 11 reams of copier paper, a contestant must
create a domino chain that ends with the last ream hitting a bell.
DONNA finally gets into the game against
HUGO. WINNER: HUGO (Anthony/Hugo up, 3-1)
LEVEL 5: PING TAC TOE:
Using white and red ping-pong balls as Xs and Os and nine water-filled glasses
as a grid, you must get three in a row either across, up and down or diagonally.
It's HEIDI vs. HUGO to avoid elimination.
WINNER.... HUGO (Anthony/Hugo win, 4-1). They get $50,000 and a chance for even
more as we arrive at...
LEVEL 6: MEGA BUBBLE:
Using only the air in their lungs, a contestant must blow a soap bubble,
then guide it through an awaiting hoop downstage.
First attempt (Anthony): COMPLETE (:26, $75,000).
LEVEL 7: WHAT A RACQUET:
The contestants must guide a gumball to the center square of a tennis racquet
using only his hips.
