A 60-Second Miracle
December 7

It's the holiday season, and NBC has giftwrapped something special for you... the second-season premiere of the summer hit "Minute to Win It!" Today, two players are going to work together to complete holiday-themed stunts, all in under a minute. And at the top of their tree, a gold star... the usual million is TRIPLED for this time only.

First up, AUTUMN McALPIN and ALLISON CHAPMAN (Memphis, TN), a pair of sisters that affectionately call each other "Double Trouble". But you want trouble? The 12 Days of Christmas give way to the 12 Ways of Minutemas... 12 Challenges... $3 MILLION.

LEVEL 1: WREATH RELAY. As a team, the contestants must transfer a wreath to a downstage lamppost using only their heads.

But in season 2, one thing remains the same... "Failure to complete this task in 60 seconds may result in ELIMINATION."

Attempt 1... COMPLETE (:41, $1000)

LEVEL 2: JINGLE IN THE TRUNK. Twelve jingle bells are your "Junk in the Trunk".

Autumn is tapped for this challenge.

Attempt 1 (Autumn)... COMPLETE (:43, $2500)

Before Level 3, a Holiday Bonus, which could be anything... But it's only available if you win this.

LEVEL 3: FACE THE GINGERBREAD MAN. Following in the footsteps of a MTWI classic, "Face the Cookie."

Allison plays...

Attempt 1... COMPLETE (:42, $5000)

Their Holiday Bonus is... EXTRA LIFE! You now have four.

LEVEL 4: CHRISTMAS BALL CONVEYOR. As a team, the contestants must transfer two ornaments using a ribbon wound around the two of them.

But in season 2, one thing remains the same... "Failure to complete this task in 60 seconds may result in ELIMINATION."

Attempt 1... COMPLETE (:02, $10,000)

Next... a Holiday Bonus game!

LEVEL 5: DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR?. As a team, the contestants must arrange seven gift boxes filled with as little as five jingle bells and as much as 35, all in ascending orders, by shaking and weighing them.

Attempt 1... FAIL (20 where 15 should be; THREE LIVES REMAINING)

Attempt 2... COMPLETE ($50,000)

And the bonus gift is... 10 extra seconds to be used ONCE.

LEVEL 6: CHRISTMAS BALL. It's Egg Roll with an ornament and a Christmas gift.

Autumn gets the gift...

Attempt 1... COMPLETE (:23, $75,000)

LEVEL 7: CHRISTMAS CLIFFHANGER. The contestant must blow a Christmas card off of a table so that the flap of it hangs off of a table. This must be done ONCE.

Autumn gets this game.

Attempt 1... COMPLETE (:09, $125,000)

LEVEL 8: RAISE YOUR GLASS. The contestant must alternately stack martini glasses and ornaments so the result is a four-story free-standing glass tower.

Allison will play the game. But first, everyone in the audience is getting a "Despicable Me" Blu-Ray combo pack.

Back to the game...

Attempt 1... FAIL (TIME OUT, TWO LIVES remaining)

Attempt 2...  To be continued next time.
