A Family Affair
December 14

Last week on the mad minute stunt show, Autumn McAlpin & Allison Chapman made their way past seven of the 12 Levels of Christmas, winning $125,000 en route to a possible $3 million. But they lose a life on Level 8, Raise Your Glass. They still have two lives and an extra 10 seconds should they need to use it.

LEVEL 8: RAISE YOUR GLASS. The contestant must alternately stack martini glasses and ornaments so the result is a four-story free-standing glass tower.

And as always... "Failure to complete this task in 60 seconds may result in ELIMINATION."

Attempt 1... FAIL (TIME OUT, TWO LIVES remaining)

Attempt 2.... COMPLETE (:08, $250,000)

That money is locked in, so let's take a look at...

LEVEL 9: HUNG WITH CARE. The contestant must hang three candy canes on a millimeter-wide string. The canes must stay for a three-count.

Allison plays this.

Attempt 1... FAIL (TIME OUT, ONE LIFE remaining)

Autumn decides to switch in and use the extra time.

Final attempt... FAIL (TIME OUT, GAME OVER). But they leave with $250,000!

Next in the 60-Second Circle are a brother/sister team, ALISSA & STEVEN SALVATORE from the Bronx!

LEVEL 1: REINDEER NOSE DIVE. Another MTWI classic given a festive touch.

Attempt 1 (Alissa)... COMPLETE (:50, $1000)

LEVEL 2: JINGLE IN THE TRUNK. Twelve jingle bells are your "Junk in the Trunk".

Attempt 1 (Steven)... COMPLETE (:47, $2500)

And they get a Holiday Bonus for this win.... an HDTV! That's theirs, win or lose.

LEVEL 3: SNOWBALL FIGHT. On opposite sides of the Circle, both players must use ping-pong balls to knock four styrofoam snowballs off of their pedestals.

Attempt 1... COMPLETE (:17, $5000)

LEVEL 4: MERRY FISHMAS. Using a candy cane as a hook and a chopstick as a rod, the contestant must fish out four smaller candy canes using their mouth.

Attempt 1 (Alissa)... COMPLETE (:01, $10,000)

This game comes with a Holiday Bonus of... EXTRA TIME! Ten seconds should you need them. Remember, they can only be used ONCE.

LEVEL 5: CHRISTMAS JINGLE. As a team, the contestants must arrange eleven water-filled glass in such a way that, when struck in order, play the first line of "Jingle Bells".

Attempt 1... COMPLETE (:45, $50,000)

LEVEL 6: CHRISTMAS IN THE BALANCE. A yardstick is perched atop a roll of wrapping paper. The contestants must hang five ornaments on each side of the yardstick.

Attempt 1... FAIL (TIME OUT, TWO LIVES remaining)

Attempt 2... COMPLETE (:01, $75,000)

LEVEL 7: EXTREME CHRISTMAS NUTSTACKER. In for the chopstick in this revised MTWI classic, a candy cane.

Attempt 1 (Steven)... FAIL (TIME OUT, ONE LIFE remaining)

Final attempt (Steve)... FAIL (TIME OUT, GAME OVER). But they do leave with $50,000 and an HDTV to play the new "Minute to Win It" Wii game... which everyone in the audience is getting.

One more day of Christmas remaining. Will we give away the $3 million? Stay tuned.
