Episode 4.26 - March 28
After two weeks of repeats, it's time to get back to
good old Fear Factor business. We start this week's
business out in the desert with these 6 people...
Melanie Tipps (College Station, TX - Bartender) -
She says that she can do anything if she put her mind to
it. She is a long-haired blonde, so she probably hasn't
had much of a mind to put to anything.
Dave Klein (San Clemente, CA - Bouncer) - He
wants to crash cars, but he's pretty much done that,
based on his driving record. He said that, not me.
Fabiola Avelino (Recee, Brazil - Painter) - She
wants to do it because no one thinks she can do it. She
also wants to have the ability to spend the money in a
week. Heh.
Jason Toombs (San Diego, CA - Student) - He wants
to put 100% into this and win it. If Chris Jericho had a
younger brother who was clean shaven, he'd be it.
Malia Beter (Mililaui, HI - Real Estate Agent) -
Enjoyed getting beaten up while she was growing up in
Hawaii, so she should find this a lot of fun. We have
women who like getting roughed up here on the east coast
too, but you wouldn't find them on Fear Factor Shows -
unless they did a special one on 42nd street.
Carl Sneed (Richmond, VA - Student) - Danger is
this bald African American's middle name. He's going to
lay it down and put it all on the table. Note to Carl -
we are not playing Texas Hold 'Em.
Lets see if Carl will lay it all down the line for this
- the first stunt features two semis driving parallel to
each other. On one side is a platform. On the other is a
row of flags. Using a rope, the contestants jump from
one truck to the other and try to grab as many flags
from the wall as they can. The man and woman with the
fewest flags will be laying out for the rest of Fear
Factor.
Melanie is first, and the contestants are surprised by
the lack of her brain power. Malia thinks she's on the
wrong show - she should be on America's Next Top Model.
She jumps....and she doesn't come close. 5 tries, 0
flags. With no flags, she's gone. 'I'm sure everyone
will still love me.' says Melanie as she walks off the
show. Fabiola was right - she was on the wrong show, but
ANTM wouldn't take her, either. She needs to be on the
Bachelor or any other Mike Fleiss show. Chico, send her
to whatever show you desire to be on.
For all of the blondes who want to write me hate e-mail,
THIS is why I make fun of the blondes. They have had
HORRIBLE records on Fear Factor, and they are usually
the first ones gone. If you want to write hate mail,
write to the blondes who stink up the joint on the show
and that give me a license to make fun of all blondes
everywhere.
With only 2 women left, Joe gives the them an incentive
- whoever does this the best will win $1,000. Fabiola
starts it off, saying that the $1,000 will help her win
the trip. The truck passes her on the first try with no
flags, and maybe I was too hasty on Melanie....then
again, maybe not, as she gets 3 on the truck's next
pass. Melia needs to beat 3 in under a minute for
$1,000. She gets the 3 flags in...53 seconds. That's
good enough for the $1,000.
It's the guys turn, and Carl says that he's going to
slap that truck like SOnic the Hedgehog, adding that
everyone else is just there for him to beat. He thinks
his long reach is going to help - and it does. He gets 6
flags, and it may be good enough.
Jason says that he wants to get 7 flags - but in order
to do that, he actually has to get off the truck to get
the flags. He takes his sweet time and only gets 3
flags, which puts him in the danger zone.
Dave has a tattoo that says 'rise above' on the back of
his neck. He says he's going to rise above the challenge
and send Jason packing. It sure looks good, as he gets 3
flags on the first pass. He wants to beat Carl, but he
doesn't. However, it's good enough for Jason to go,
which he does.
Because they all did so well, Joe takes them all up to
the donut shop some desert. Of course, this is Fear
Factor, and for the next stunt, they get to eat Fear
Factor donuts. There are four delicious fillings in each
of the donuts, and they are...
1. Pig's Blood
2. Rotten Squid and Squid Ink
3. Stink Beetles
4. Worms
The contestants have to select two donuts and eat them
down in 10 minutes. There are also 5 jelly donuts, so
the contestants could hit a lucky one or two - but they
get to eat the donuts with a glass of curdled milk. If
they finish the donuts and milk, then they advance to
the final stunt.
Melia goes first - and she hits a squid donut. That's
enough for her, and she is deliberating quitting. She
attempts to get it down with the curdled milk, but it
makes her even sicker. She does try like a trooper, but
she runs out of time and she has to leave the show.
Fabiola gets to pick out her donuts left, and she
selects the strategy of downing the milk first. She says
that the donut looks like she's moving, and she's right
as the first donut has stink beetles in it. 'My mind was
ready to do it, but my body wasn't ready to do it.' says
Fabiola, and she also quits.
It's time for the guys. Dave starts it - and he gets a
donut of worms. That's not too bad, as he munches it
down. Joe reminds them that if neither of them get the
donuts down, they all come back for only $25,000. He
quits, and he gives up $25,000. 'I call myself a crazy
guy, and I can't even get a bunch of worms down.'
This leaves Carl with a shot of $25,000. The first donut
- Pig's Blood. Carl gets it down without much of a
problem, adding that he's half blood-sucker. The next
donut - beetles, which still isn't too bad. He;s not
letting beetles stop him from $25,000, as he munches
that too. Can he get down the milk? He chugs it down and
wins the $25,000!
Can he win the full $50,000? He can if he beats the
other people in this - the people will be transferring
flags across beams. Here's the catch - every beam that
they walk across will fall, so you need to use brains as
well as quickness. The person who gets the most amount
of flags over, or whoever does it the quickest wins the
money.
Since Carl was the only person who completed the last
stunt, he also decides the order of who goes. He selects
Dave to go first, and Dave completes the stunt in 1:04.
Was that a mistake? Maybe - or maybe not, as he did take
some time when he started.
Carl elects Fabiola to go next. She goes to start
and...doesn't even make the first balance beam. Oops.
Melia is next and wishes Dave 'aloha'. What's the
Hawaiian word for 'slow'? She is much slower than Dave,
and even Joe is yelling at her for being far behind.
Time runs out on her as she is moving the final flag.
This only leaves Carl Vs. Dave. Carl says that it's a
good time, but he's going to crush it. Carl is moving
fast, so this is going to be close. Was it close enough?
He has to beat 1:04, and his time is...1:03. By a mere
second, Carl wins the full $50,000, and it's only fair
because he was the only won to complete every stunt.
Two weeks from now - Miss USA, as the beauties get ugly.
Join us in 7 days to see if sewer crawling will be a new
Miss USA event. |
