Shows Round of 6 Results Last night, the singers had two chances to deliver. The best rose to the top, while those who just showed up faltered. Michelle seemed to ride a surprising elimination to the top, while four country singers proved to be just too many. But all of this is speculative. It's the votes that matter. What did YOUR voice say and who is going on to the semifinals? That and the reigning Voice, Cassadee Pope, takes the stage in the next hour.
As a reminder, every iTunes download also counts as a vote. If your single is on the iTunes top 10 by the end of the voting window, your votes will be multiplied by 10. This could be the boost that some singers need. One singer did accomplish this... Michelle Chamuel at #4 with her version of "Knew You Were Trouble." First up, "Wasting All These Tears" from the Florida country-pop-rock phenom that took it in Season 3. The reigning Voice of America... CASSADEE POPE! Watch for the album in October. Next up, Michelle and birthday girl Sasha Fierce, Sasha Allen with Madonna's "Open Your Heart". We're about to open our first envelope... SAFE: Last week, Blake Shelton did something amazing. He got together his friends (and his friend's friend... Team Usher) and sent them to OKC to view the damage, meet families, help in any way they can, and lend their talents to the cause. Starbucks has foot the bill to the tune of $250,000. In total, nearly $1 million has been raised for tornado relief. You can actually continue to give by texting REDCROSS to 90999. Teamwork makes the dream work. Also, the charity single "Home" by Blake and Usher is available on iTunes. All proceeds go to the effort. Back to business... SAFE So four artists, all country, all in danger. Next up, the Swon Brothers team up with Holly Tucker to sing "Leave the Pieces". Someone's about to leave a piece, but not... SAFE ... Danielle! Instead, she and Amber are going to sing the Bangles' "Eternal Flame". Sadly, someone's flame is about to expire. SAFE So Blake is going to take his first hit tonight. SAFE That means that Holly Tucker is taking her sax and going home. Next week, it's SEMI-FINAL time.
