Each coach is down to his or her final
pick. Consider your actions wisely.
First up, Mark Lennon (49, Venice, CA) is
the lead singer of his brother's band, Venice. Carson is actually a
really big fan of Venice, so he's on cloud 9. Are any of the coaches
fans of his? He's turning on the Beatles' "Come Together". Carson is
wishing really really hard.... but not today. Apparently he needs to be
dirtier. He's already a dirty rock star, what do you want?
Jacqui Sandell (24, Oakland, NJ) has been
singing since she was 9, while she was dancing for even younger. She's
even performed "Swan Lake" for the Russian ambassador. Out of college,
she joined the band, but she wants to be a solo act (with the band's
blessing). She delivers Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams". Blake's in for the
final spot. Usher's in for the final spot. Shakira mulled it over... but
it's between Usher and Blake. Someone's team is about to be locked. And
it... is... BLAKE'S. "Someone on my team WILL win the Voice. You can
mark my words." Done and done, Mr. Shelton.
Amber Carrington (19, Rockwall, TX) was
once a little girl Elvis. She wanted to move out to Nashville to get
herself established as a country artist, but her mother's breast cancer
battle derailed those plans temporarily, something Carson actually can
relate to, having lost his father to cancer. His mother, a survivor.
Thank goodness for that. Now Amber takes the stage with her grandparents
watching. The song, "Good Girl" by Carrie Underwood. Adam wants to hear
more of this singer. He may just have wasted his pick on a Carrie
Underwood wannabe. But in the end, it's his pick, and now that's his
team. That leaves the two newbies.
That leaves Usher with one spot. Will it
go to Jessica Childress (26, Lancaster, CA)? She graduated from college
with a stable job, but she soon left that career path for a chance at
doing music. There standing by her side: her husband Clint. He'll watch
on as she tries to lay claim to the final spot in the competition with
"Marry You" by Bruno Mars. All Usher has to do... is push his button.
Shakira can't. She's trying! Usher, though... he just wants to work the
crowd before making it official. And Usher Raymond IV says.... "I do."
AND THAT'S THE TEAMS.

Forty-eight singers will be reduced to 24
over the next few weeks UNLESS someone gets stolen. Yes, the steals are
still in play.
For now, though, we end the show with a
look at things to come, and if these clips are any indication, the
Battle Rounds will be certain to live up to their billing.
