Battle
Rounds #4 We've ratcheted up the factor to 11 this year with the Battle Rounds... and we've saved the best for last.
We begin the final battles with... #TEAMSHAKIRA: Brandon Roush vs. Shawna P It's youth vs. experience. Brandon works with autistic children. Shawna P found herself with the Muzik Mafia. A couple of really hungry singers from the southland, but who will get the better of this battle? We'll open the round with "Piece Of My Heart" by Janis Joplin. It's perfect for Shawna, but Brandon? Seeing a lot of Janis in Shawna is freaking him out. Adam thought it was very fun. Usher took notice of both combatant's voices. Shawna's pitch is perfect, while Brandon had a lot of passion. SHAKIRA CHOOSES: Shawna It's up to Usher now to save Brandon... He does not. #TEAMADAM: Duncan Kamakana vs. Sarah Simmons One Hawaiian native who turned Adam's chair, and one ha'o'le from Tennessee who turned all four chairs. They'll be singing "Wanted You More" by ... Lady Antebellum. Relevant in that Adam's assistant is Hilary Scott OF Lady Antebellum. Duncan has the "hot guy with guitar" vibe, while Sarah has the voice to compete. Who will carry the day? Blake says that Sarah is one of his favorites. Usher's in awe over Duncan's confidence, but Sarah wooped the room up. ADAM CHOOSES: Sarah Will Usher save Duncan, or is he going to be saying aloha? Aloha. In Fast Forward... - Michelle Chamuel d. "Titanium" for Team Usher Blake and Adam's teams are complete. All that's left is one battle and one steal. #TEAMSHAKIRA: Cáthia vs. Mary Miranda Both of Shakira's heaviest Latin heavies are going at it. We have the Bronx vs. Havana, Cuba. Their song... one of Shakira's old songs, "Antes de las Seis (Before 6)". Mary doesn't know it as well as Cáthia does, and that may put her at a disadvantage. No mercy will be held by Shakira... or Joel Madden.. or anyone else for that matter. Adam thought both were amazing, but chooses Mary. Blake loved every syllable of it, but he likes Cáthia. Usher... fires Shakira up. You never fire up a Latin woman. No. SHAKIRA CHOOSES: Mary That was the final battle. If Usher is to steal another singer, it would be right now. ... like I said, right now... RiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiightNOW! Just as Cáthia was about to walk off the stage, too! And with that, the final teams are set. So let it be written... So let it be done.
