The best talent, however, has yet to surface, and as the auditions progress, the fight becomes that much more real.

Day 4 at Universal Studios kicks off with Audrey Karrasch (20, Reno, NV), who started singing when she was young. She was older when she became a model, depressed and lost. Music was her outlet, and she was doing gigs in Charlotte, NC, America to foot the bills. Her attractiveness (and she is a looker) will not factor one iota in this competition. Her performance of "Price Tag" (by Voice UK coach Jessie J) will. Blake almost INSTANTLY hits his button. It takes a little while... but so does Usher. Blake... can't believe it. And just like that, she picks USHER.

Next on the block is Brandon Roush (19, Louisville, KY), a jam band singer for the Dirty Grindstones. When he's not being dirty or ground or stoned, he works with autistic children (C-Note: a cause near and dear to a lot of us here at the net). Can he get by "With a Little Help from My Friends"? Yes he can... and it's SHAKIRA who's going to take him there. Blake... didn't even register a long-haired white guy singing this after BEGGING to know what he looked like. You know that's not how the show works, Blake.

Betsy Barta (22, Minneapolis) started singing as a kid as well, but nowadays she can be found on the streets of the Twin Cities busking for change. Can she change all that with "Set Fire to the Rain" by Adele? She's setting fire to the stage... but the coaches give her an icy reception. And she wasn't the only one. MONTAGE!

Patrick Dodd (35, Memphis) had a band at 18. He lived a rock'n'roll lifestyle until a young-age family made him change his ways. He's back on the scene in Beale Street and has been since 2008. He won an award for his music in 2011. He's hoping that he can find something bigger than Memphis on the Voice stage. And true to form, he's going to take us "Walking in Memphis". Shakira... AND Adam want him to sing with all his might. Shakira wants to put the determination and stubbornness of a 5'3" Colombian dynamo to work. Adam... wants to put the determination and stubbornness of a 6' white guy from LA to work.  Patrick goes with his gut... and goes with Adam.

Fastforward, as Trevor Davis goes to Blake, C. Perkins goes to Shakira, and returning artist Agina Alvarez took a risk with a Shakira hit... and ended up on Team Adam.

Orlando Dixon (24, Washington, DC) graduated out of the Berklee College of Music. He grew up with his mother & sister; his father divorced when he was five. That sort of thing will tear anyone's self-esteem asunder, but music proved to be a strong avenue for his gifts. Will he make his family proud with "So Sick" by Ne-Yo? Usher hits it at the last moment, probably for want of a singer for his team. He gets what he wants, and he's up to eight.

Savannah Berry (17, Houston) rounds out the night with her YouTube covers. One of them landed her a duet with Sugarland. She's missing homecoming and prom to chase her dream tonight. Will she turn a chair with "Safe and Sound"? Adam wants her, and she's in. Shakira, after mulling it over a couple of moments... IN. Blake makes it three. One of her influences is Miranda Lambert. You know, Blake's significant other. Just throwing that out there. Shakira: "These two guys, they've been here three seasons. They're jaded. They're almost DEAF!" She believes she can win. Adam... he hit the button first. Blake: "Miranda Lambert and I... and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, we were eating dinner together."

I can do that too, Shelton. Uh, let's see... My sister... went to college in Atlanta... with Jennifer Nettles. They may have met ... ONCE.

Okay, enough funny business... She picks Blake. Of course.

After night Four...

And Blake didn't even have to use his American Music Award that he brought up at the top of the show. More top shelf talent looking for coaches next week as the search for the next Voice continues.
