Jason: What about "The Banker's a Wanker?"
Chico: How about "Open the Case"
Rob: Or, "We'll find out how much, after this"
Chico: Or the ending theme... Basement Jaxx's "Good Luck"
Gordon: That actually brings us to...our new game! Ready for the new game?
Rob: Yes Mr. Pepper.
Jason: Yes sir.
Chico: yep
Gordon: It's called Songbook
Jason: Oh wow.
Gordon: You see what you did for DOND, the musical?
Chico: Right.
Gordon: Now you have to do it for people and situations
Chico: Fun fun
Gordon: Let's start with an easy one, shall we?
Jason: Alright.
Rob: Sounds good.
A musical based on the life of Ken Jennings
Chico: "Mr. 74."
Rob: "The H&R Block Blues"
Chico: "What are the Munchies, Man?"
Rob: "I'm against the world"
Jason: Rutter's A Nutter
Chico: And finally, Rod Stewart's "Tonight's the Night" sung by the 148 losers.
Gordon: No one wants I Lost on Jeopardy in there?
Rob: Nope, You didn't lose on Jeopardy if you got over $3,000,000 from the show.
Chico: Rob has a point.
Gordon: ok - Next one...
A Musical about the Magic of Lingo, in the eyes of Jason Hernandez!
Rob: "Red Balls of Fire"
Jason: "Oh, Jacky! Oh Shandi!"
Rob: "Deuling Amy's"
Chico: "A Little Bit Ball-Shy"
Rob: "Fiesta of my Life"
Gordon: I was thinking Beach Blanket Lingo, myself
Rob: Good one.
Gordon: Next Songbook...
It's fun fun fun with Regis Philbin! He's always been a music man. Treat him to
some of his finest work.
Chico: "Pennies from Heaven"
Rob: "Almost Anything Goes"
Chico: "My Dinner Date with Susan Lucci"
Rob: "Free from Kathie Lee"
Jason: "Commerce Bank Blues"
Rob: "Final Answer of Love"
Gordon: Very nice. Songbook #4...
Of course, we have to give some love to all denizens of the game show world.
What about one giving tribute to the love of Martha Stewart?
Rob: "Jailhouse Rock"
Jason: "O Pancho, My Pancho"
Chico: "Good Thing"... I don't remember who sang it... but .. yeah
Jason: The Fine Young Cannibals sang Good Thing.
Chico: Thanks
Rob: "Me and My Anklet"... "You Just Don't Fit In"
Jason: And "I am the Real Apprentice"
Chico: And as a closer... Simple Plan's "Perfect".
Gordon: Very nice. Next one?
From festive to spooky. From the people that gave you L'estat comes...Exile
Island. Whooooooohhooohoooo
Rob: "Alone" by Heart / Kim Sozzi
Chico: "Where Is That Idol?"
Jason: "You are my Immunity Idol"
Chico: "Don't Rock The Boat"
Jason: "Islands In the Stream"
Gordon: Would the soundtrack be writtern by Billy Idol?
Chico: Only one song... "Dancing with Myself."
Gordon: or Austin Idol?
Rob: Or the season 3 cast of American Idol, starring William Hung.
Gordon: Finally...
Everyone wants a remake. Lets say we remake Extreme Dodgeball. Let's get some
tunes for it.
Rob: "I fought the law and the law won"
Jason: Big Balls by AC/Dc
Rob: "Silence is Golden"
Chico: "Short People" by Randy Newman featuring the King's Singers.
Rob: "NY, NY" sung by Tyrone Rush and Portis Hershey
Gordon: Very good. I think we're all headed to Broadway. However, it's to buy
tickets.
Chico: Darn. Oh well. Can we catch tickets to the Big Finish? I heard that show
is awesome!
Rob: I hear it's the frontrunner for 3 Tony's.
Gordon: We can...right after the break
(Brought to you by America's Game Show Farmers. This Mother's Day, show her you
care with a bouquet of tickets to go see your favorite game shows. Happy
Mother's Day!)
Chico: Freshly cut and watered at the peak of their beauty.: Sooo beautiful...
Gordon: Do tickets to Television City come with that?
Chico: Of course!
Rob: Yay.
Jason: Sweet.
Gordon: While we are planning our trips to Cali, let's go to The Big Finish!
Idol - who is not going to be in the finals?
Rob: All guy final. Kat departs.
Chico: I think Katharine and Elliott are going to be jocking for that second
spot. It'll go to Elliott, though.
Jason: Kat goes because the Chaos Theory rebound.
Gordon: I'll go with Kat.
Chico: Survivor... Who wins?
Jason: Terry. He becomes the most dominant player of all time.
Chico: I'm going to say the under-the-radar Danielle.
Jason: He has the immunity idol.
Gordon: I'll agree with Chico. Terry may get to the finals, but he's been way
too abrasive and they won't give the money to that. Danielle will win.
Chico: He basically has a free ticket to the final two, He can pick the biggest
ass and cruise to the million. won't happen, though. Will Playmania continue to
be riddled with disparities? Way too much to even warrant the show's continued
existence?
Rob: Yes, and it will lead to its demise.
Jason: Yes.
Gordon: I think Playmania was a great idea, to be honest. The execution of said
idea has been nothing less that horrific
Chico: That is to be expected, though.
Rob: Live shows either work or fail miserably.
Chico: (see Idol, American)
Gordon: Or Fame, if you want a reverse polarity. We have mail!
Rob: Yay.
Gordon: I have one from john3v16. Thanks for writing, John!

FROM: John3v16
Hey guys! I've just discovered this
site and its great! I want to get something off my chest...........
I realize that people have been e-mailing you and griping about a
short-term lack of winners on certain shows, most notably Millionaire.
But you know what these annoying people don't say, let me be very
clear about all of this. Throughout history, people have won on game
shows with a decent amount of consistency for the most part. Despite
the recent opinions of some people, including you at WLTI, game show
history teaches us that sometimes the periods of consistent big
winners is cyclical, sometimes there will be periods when no one can
seem to play the game well enough to win.
Then there are times when it seems like no one can lose, and everybody
is winning! Today, its no different. IMO, these people who are griping
are just being reactionary, and are lacking perspective. I want to put
things in perspective by saying, contrary to what some people say,
there have been a good deal of big winners thus far this season in
game shows in general, heck look at the first week of "Deal or No
Deal" for crying out loud!
Finally, in regards to "Millionaire," I think history and the laws of
probability say that we will see more Big winners eventually! Hey, if
a year from now (or less) things have turned the corner quite nicely,
those griping e-mailers will feel pretty silly for being so
reactionary. I say, have patience, and most of all, have faith! In the
grand scheme of things, you know it will turn around for
"Millionaire!" Quite frankly, it has to, and it will!
Thank you.

Jason: Thank you very much. That was awesome.
Chico: Thank you, John. I couldn't agree more. If you watch for winners, you
will sorely be disappointed. If you just watch, you win every time. Unless
said show is Shop Til You Drop.
Gordon: I absolutely agree with the letter, John. That being said, it's our
jobs to notate when these swings are happening. The difference between us and
the other sites, however, is that I think we do a very good job in putting
these swings in historical perspective, instead of just being reactionary to
it. That's why we have such great track records in American Idol and correctly
predicting phases in the game show community.
Jason: Like that 2007 is going to be a huge year.
Gordon: Yes - it should be
Chico: And that a dude will win Idol this year.
Jason: And that Gordon can predict Idol without any stupid dial tones
software. His Chaos Theory is his software.
Chico: Learn from yesterday, love for today, and all that.
Jason: You got it Chico.
Chico: That's what we're about.
Rob: Amen brother. Watch as a viewer, don't watch and expect the world from
the show, otherwise you will end up disappointed and saddened.
Gordon: Yep - and if you want to be a writing reactionary, what should they
do, Chico?
Chico: Blow up the e-mail lines.
wlti@gameshownewsnet.com. Big thanks to Jason, Rob, and congrats to Mike,
Ohio's newest graduated teacher. *applause*
Jason: Change the world, Mike. Change the world.
Rob: Mike Klauss will one day be teaching the future of our fandom. Or, he
could be teaching just another bunch of kids who think Yo Momma is the next
greatest thing.
Jason: Oh boy.
Gordon: He probably does. Anyways, for Chico, this is Gordon, wishing everyone
a happy Game Over!
Chico: Remember.. Countdown, Deal or No Deal, and Classroom Jeopardy are your
friends. And spread the love to your moms.
Rob: They deserve it.
Gordon: Yep - You wouldn't be here without one.
Jason: Yup.
