"Heart Rate
Bungee" - June 13
We start off this episode with Tonya wanting to sleep
early for the next challenge. Veronica and Rachel
think she's gonna do an activity in bed which begins
with the letter 'M' and ends with the letter 'E'. I'll
give you readers some time to think about what that
word is. Okay time's up. Rachel says that she and
Veronica are making it look like they're ganging up on
Tonya because she makes herself the outcast.
Veronica thinks about taking a picture of Tonya while
she's sleeping. Tonya says taking pictures of her
sleeping is an invasion of her privacy and tells
Veronica to not go there. As we see footage of Tonya
going to another room, she says she'll do anything to
shut the other BA girls up. Tonya also mentions that
she cares more about herself than the other BA girls.
Veronica then goes into the room where Tonya's trying
to sleep. She tells Rachel and Veronica to walk away.
Tonya's two challenges from winning and somehow, she
doesn't need their friendship and doesn't need to fit
in.
The teams receive their next clue on their T-Mobile
Sidekick 2 devices. They're told to meet host Dave at
the Grand Bay Marina and wear swimsuits, team colors,
and sneakers.
The teams end up at the Grand Bay Marina for their
next challenge "Heart Rate Bungee". Each of the
players will pair up with another player from the same
team as they'll be performing a tandem bungee jump.
The object is for the players to have their heart
rates under 100 BPM. In each turn, both players from
the same team must get their heart rates to be lower
than 100 BPM. Once that happens, the trap doors will
open and they'll dropped from the platform. The team
with the lowest average time wins the challenge and
$10K to be added to their TBA. And the members of each
team who have the lowest heart rates will win the
'life shields'. And since there's an uneven number of
players remaining, one member of each team will go
twice. They'll only be scored for the 'life shield' on
the first trial. When two players from one team are on
the trap doors, two players from the opposing team can
heckle and taunt them.
BUT before the challenge begins, the teams now must
nominate one player from the opposing team for the
final Women's-Only Inferno. They'll have 30-minutes
for the deliberations taking place in their tents.
Tonya mentions that to have an even number of men and
women's Infernos, they're going to have a women's
Inferno without a challenge in between. So they're
going to deliberate before the challenge starts.
In the deliberations, the Good Guys feel confident
that Tonya's a weaker player. The Bad Asses, once
again have a hard time with their deliberations,
albeit a tense one. After the deliberations are over,
the Good Guys nominate Tonya while the Bad Asses
nominate Shavonda. Mike mentions that it's kind of
almost like a win-win situation. If Shavonda wins,
they get another player back. If she loses, they lose
their weakest player, but they would also give the Bad
Asses back their weakest player.
Here's a table of how the players did.

In the end, the Bad Asses
averaged a time of 4 minutes and 8 seconds while the
Good Guys averaged a time of 1 minute and 13 seconds.
From the way things went in this challenge, the Good
Guys win and they get another 10K to their TBA. They
now have a total of $80,000 while the Bad Asses are
stuck at $70K. Landon wins the 'life shield' with the
lowest score of 65 BPM. C.T. also scored a 'life
shield' with the lowest heart rate of 54 BPM. That
means both Shavonda and Tonya are going to the
Inferno.
The last Inferno game of The Inferno II is called
"Spinner". In it the players will be strapped onto the
giant rotating wheels. The wheels will be speeding up
and slowing down at random points in the game. The
objective is for the players to hold their team flag
as long as they can. Whoever holds their flag the
longest will return to their team to battle for
$150,000. The runner-up, on the other hand, will be
the last one going home.
Host Mirra mentions that there are really no rules in
this game except that if a player vomits, pass out, or
shouts "I give up!", it'll mean an automatic loss.
In the end, the wheel became too much for Shavonda to
handle forcing her to stop the mission. That means
Tonya has been given a repreive while Shavonda is sent
packing. She thinks her team has a good chance of
winning, we'll see about that. After the last Inferno
game, Tonya will be getting some rest and will also be
looking for some team unity.
Seven members of the Bad Asses and four members of the
Good Guys remain. Which of these teams will win
$150,000?
The final challenge will commence next week on the
Inferno II.
