Bet Your Booty - March
27
Picking up from where we
left off last week, after a very intense
deliberation for the Veterans and especially for
Derrick, Timmy decides to step up. We're right now
at the Gauntlet with Derrick and Timmy playing
"Reverse Tug-Of-War". Let's see how this pans out.
In the end Derrick lost to Timmy, and both of the
teams didn't want him to go as it might have
impacted them both. As Derrick goes home, he gives
advice to both the Vets and the Rookies telling them
"no pain, no gain." He also gives additional advice
on brining their hearts, compassion, and what not
come crunch time. So now here are the lists of the
remaining players still in the running for that
handsome reward.

At the dining area, the teams recieve their final
clue...
>It's time for your final challenge! Time to go "all
in"! Get your booty ready at 9 AM!
Alton feels that they are a stronger team and they
came this far and are not going to stop in second
place. Timmy obviously has been thinking about the
grand finale not-stop and his team is mentally ready
for an upset.
The Vets and the Rookies take center stage in the
final mission of the season in the Gauntlet. The
name of the final challenge is called "Bet Your
Booty". The challenge will be divided into three
competitions...
1) Roti - Players have to eat 12 pounds of what's
considered a delicacy in Tobago.
2) Pirate Memory - An old-fashioned game of memory.
3) Sand Sprint - Relay race depending on how many
people a team has.
All players must and can only compete on one of
today's competitons. But here's the catch, host
Lavin will give the players 250 pirate gold
doubloons (gold coins). And the teams will bet on
each competition up to a maximum of 248 coins. Each
team will be divided up so that at least one person
is playing in each competition. But they can stack
up as many players as they want in each game and
they must bet at least one gold coin in each game
hence the said maximum bet of 248.
The team with the most gold coins at the end of the
day will become Gauntlet II champions and win
$150,000. The teams now have 30 minutes for their
deliberations. The Rookies devide to go "all in" on
the one event they feel they can win on. The Vets
decide on betting the max in the first game. Now
here's the line-up on who's playing what game.
ROOKIES
Roti-Randy/Jamie/Ibis/Jodi
Pirate Memory-Susie/Kina
Sand Sprint-Landon/Alton/M.J
VETERANS
Roti-Timmy/Mark/Jilie/Robin/David
Pirate Memory-Katie
Sand Spring-Aneesa
And they're ready to go for Game 1. This is where
the participating players will have to eat 12 pounds
of Roti. The team to complete the task wins this
game. However, if a player throws up at anytime,
then their team will lose automatically. This ended
in a close call that had host Lavin check the
videotape, and it turns out that Julie of the Vets
had some food in her mouth 15 seconds after the
Rookies finished their plate. So that means the
Rookies win this game, but as for the second game,
that never happened as the Vets decided to conciede
defeat and give the Rookies the win.
The Rookies end the season with a total of $240,000
and the Vets with a total of $60,000. And there you
have it, another season of The Real World/Road Rules
Challenge has finally come to a close. We'll see you
around someday for recaps of another season.
