Episode 3.41
March 12

Last time, a princess was dethroned, taking home $150. Meanwhile, Johnnie Taylor continues to ride her lucky hairpiece to the million.

To recap, she has case #21...

?
21

Johnnie's case

And her board still has three big amounts: $300,000, $500,000, and $1 million. Next round has three cases...

23 - $75
3 - "Low it is!" $300
1 - For her mother... "I'm thinking it's low, because I have my lucky hairpiece in as well." $100

Big offer coming. While Johnnie rubs her "hair" on the case...

BANK OFFER
$170,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 10,000
$ 50 $ 300,000
$ 200 $ 500,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

And the banker sends out a zoner to examine closely the hairpiece... And the Banker puts a torch to it. It doesn't burn so much as it melts. NO DEAL.

We take a break to air out the place. Now for two more cases... "Banker, you are evil, and you must be destroyed."

25 - $300,000
15 - Because Cynthia, who wanted 18, is always wrong. "I think we're proving 'em wrong." $1000

That works alright. But what does it do to the offer? Going up.

BANK OFFER
$203,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 10,000
$ 50 $ 300,000
$ 200 $ 500,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

AND there's something more... There's also a man just like her father... Meet Eric (30). "I'm young and hot." Now it's time to organize and prioritize. Are you here for the million... or are you here for Eric? NO DEAL!

Sorry, Eric. We tried. "I feel like a game show host/pimp."

18 - $750

Offer's going way up.

BANK OFFER
$267,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 10,000
$ 50 $ 300,000
$ 200 $ 500,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

Everyone wants her to take it, but she still has a safety net. NO DEAL!

6 - "Let's show everyone that you didn't need the wig!" $500,000

But the million is still on the board, so it's all on Johnny to play the game out. Banker drops it to...

BANK OFFER
$216,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 10,000
$ 50 $ 300,000
$ 200 $ 500,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

There's a 75% chance that Johnnie is holding onto less than the offer. DEAL for $216,000!

But is it a good deal? Lianna had $50. Bank would've offered $344,000. Alike had... $10,000. Bank would've offered... $541,000.

In Johnnie's Case...

$1,000,000
21

Johnnie's Deal
$216,000

... a HORRIBLE DEAL! She had it!

Reset the cases for the next player, STEVE VINCENTINI. He was in the audience last April. And now he's playing out of Syracuse, where he's an air-traffic controller. He is in this to pay for his mortgage.

Steve goes with #11 for his case.

Steve's case

Meanwhile, we have a dinging sound. "Welcome to Deal or No Deal. The banker would like you to know that in the unlikely event of an emergency, your case may be used as a floatation device." Clever. Let's start with six..

12 - PENNY
19 - $1000
21 - $500
9 - $100,000
6 - $400,000
22 - $5000

A couple of hard turns, but still should be a good offer. Steve doesn't even want to hear the offer. He's saying no deal to...

BANK OFFER
$55,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
$ 1 $ 5,000
$ 5 $ 10,000

$ 25 $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 75,000
$ 75 $ 100,000
$ 100 $ 200,000
$ 200 $ 300,000
$ 300 $ 400,000
$ 400 $ 500,000
$ 500 $ 750,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

... again, making it official... NO DEAL.

18 - $10,000
2 - $500,000
3 - $400
14 - $5
16 - $750,000

Another couple hard turns, but the million is still in play. "Who do you think would win in a fight... Steve or Keltie?" Offer drops to...

$ 1 $ 5,000
$ 5 $ 10,000
$ 10 $ 25,000
$ 25 $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 75,000
$ 75 $ 100,000
$ 100 $ 200,000
$ 200 $ 300,000
$ 300 $ 400,000
$ 400 $ 500,000
$ 500 $ 750,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

Steve doesn't fight by himself. He has Barbara (mom), Matt (brother), and Bobby (cousin). They all go NO DEAL. Sounds like a decision to me.

8  - $50,000
20 - $25
23 - $750
10 - "*75 in Russian*"

"Attention passenger Steve Vincentini. You're making the banker airsick. Take his offer and exit immediately." Said offer...

$ 400 $ 500,000
$ 500 $ 750,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

Draw board. Steve wants another round. NO DEAL.

13 - Howie wants him to tell her to open the case in Canadian.. $100
26 - $200
15 - "Not too bad." $75,000

Eight cases left, three are big money. New offer...

BANK OFFER
$156,000

$ 1 $ 25,000
$ 10 $ 200,000
$ 50 $ 300,000
$ 300 $ 1,000,000

Is that enough for Steve to continue, or does he want to open two more cases? The answer to that question... next time.
