Episode 3.29
January 23

Last time, Britney Lewzader opened three of the million dollar cases... But of the 15 still remaining in the game, six still have a million. That's a 40% chance that she's a millionaire TONIGHT.

To recall, her case was case #1.

?
1

Britney's case

Britney's been thinking about nothing but the baby she wishes that she had. That, and Q-tips. Little quirk of hers. Back to the game, though. Four cases...

9 - $1,000,000... Five left.
17 - "How 'bout a dollar?" I'll take it.
15 - $5
21 - "Not bad." That's an understatement. That's the penny case.

So 11 cases left, and under half of them have a million. The banker, calling Britney a loser, offers... another record...

BANK OFFER
$288,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
$ 1 $ 5,000
$ 5 $ 10,000
$ 10 $ 25,000
$ 25 $ 1,000,000
$ 50 $ 1,000,000
$ 75 $ 1,000,000
$ 100 $ 1,000,000
$ 200 $ 1,000,000
$ 300 $ 1,000,000
$ 400 $ 1,000,000
$ 500 $ 1,000,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

That much money will buy insurance, dad says. The button is a guarantee of more than a quarter-mill, but she has a heck of a safety net. She'd be foolish to pass up that net. NO DEAL.

Three cases.

20 - $1,000,000... Four left.
18 - "I can show you 100..."
12 - $50

Great round for Britney. Bad for the banker, who now stands a 50/50 shot at paying off Britney seven figures.

And while Britney embarrasses her father about wearing maxi-pads under his arms to stop him from sweating.

The banker sends one of his emotionless drones... with goggles. The offer... a lifetime supply of Q-tips... rained upon her. That's not even right. It all comes down to 175,200 Q-tips worth $3000. On top of that is a cash offer of $1000 every day for a year. Total value of the offer...

BANK OFFER
$368,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 10,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
$ 400 $ 1,000,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

A 50/50 shot is hard to ignore. NO DEAL.

Two cases.

5 - $750
6 - $1,000,000... Three left.

Okay, we still have a 50/50 shot at a million. The new offer...

BANK OFFER
$393,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 10,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
$ 400 $ 1,000,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

She's posting almost $400,000 for a 50/50 shot at a million.

NO DEAL!

23 - Trivia: Aubrie "dabbled" in pageants. Tonight, she dabbles in a million. Two left.

The banker's going to drop the offer for the first time in this game. It drops to...

BANK OFFER
$306,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 10,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
$ 400 $ 1,000,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

There's still a 40% chance at a million, and a heck of a safety net. This money means a baby for Britney. Friends keep saying "1 for 1 million. You have it." But does she? If she's confident enough, she has to go all the way. NO DEAL!

A decision that leaves her in tears.

14 - "There's no need to cry!" $1000

Back to even odds. And back up to the banker, who offers...

BANK OFFER
$477,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 10,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
$ 400 $ 1,000,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

That is less than half of the possibilities AND less than arithmetic mean by about $25,000. She'd be giving up at worst that offer for a chance at more than $500,000 more.

It's a risk worth taking. NO DEAL.

8 - $10,000

Two out of three shot! Two out of three shot! Which makes this next decision all the more difficult. The bank offers...

BANK OFFER
$625,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 10,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
$ 400 $ 1,000,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

Okay, now it's all on Britney. She has faith that she has the million, but the odds are stacked against her. She's giving up that money for a SHOT at less than an additional half. The banker doesn't yet respect her candor just yet, but she would be a fool to pass this up. Get in, ride the wave, get out.

NO DEAL.

Okay, if the next case she chooses has $400 in it, then this game is over.

7 - If Sara is holding $400, then Britney Lewzader will be the newest game show-made millionaire.

Sara, we want to see $400...

The crowd is hushed...

$1,000,000.

So we're back to even odds. It's either in Britney's case or in Lianna's. The final offer of the game is...

BANK OFFER
$471,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 10,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
$ 400 $ 1,000,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

No safety net. No further offers. Just Britney and her faith alone that she's holding a million dollars. For Britney, though, it's more than about making game show history. It's about having the child she wants more than anything. DEAL for $471,000.

But what could have been? In Britney's case...

$400

Britney's Deal
$471,000

A great deal!

And a call from the banker... We're pushing the Million Dollar Mission to 10 next time.
