3.20: Another Big Surprise
December 11
Last time on What's the Deal
Week, Eric Serpico played Winner-Take-All Deal to win $60,001.
Next, we are going to
secretly reveal what's inside a couple of cases. And we do it with the
company of MARY BANFORD, a mom from Orem, UT, who loves musicals. She
wants to go to Broadway if she wins tonight.
First, though, she has to
claim a case. #11, to be exact.
Starting with the
six.

Meanwhile during the break,
we assemble a full orchestra in the pit to play the theme music. Nice. A

BANOODLES! |
That was just cruel.
Heh. Here's the new offer... And apparently it's so big, the
banker needs a commercial break to fill it.
... and he has some help
from Glinda of the Broadway show "Wicked". Her offer: the ultimate
"Wicked" package. Personalized backstage tour meeting the whole cast,
being onstage in costume being in the show, a trip to go to see the show
tonight in a limo, and Glinda's magic wand. That's all worth $12,000.
Added to $50,000 from the banker, and we have a total of...

"Tonight, Mary
Banford stars in WICKED! DEAL!" Okay! DEAL for $62,000!
One would say that this was
a rather ... wicked... deal. But was it a good one? Keltie had the
million. Good job! #11 had...
Next up, a player
who has no idea he's going to play. That person... is EFREN
AFONTE. He's in a holding room right now. He has no idea that
he's about to play for a million... Well, he does now.
Efren's from Canada, and he
currently lives in Oklahoma. He wants to win so he can be a weatherman
... and see his parents.
So we get the game going
with case #15, the day he's getting married.
Going with the six

before. We're going to meet Marissa (fiancee),
future-sister-in-law, and Mindy, an English tutor. They hope to
get the entire family together for the wedding. Will $88,000 do
it? Yeah, but still, Efren wants another round. NO DEAL.
A little bit of a
trip, but it shouldn't be too bad. The banker offers... more.
