Twenty-six women control twenty-six briefcases, each of which contains as little as a penny, and as much as $1 million. How much faith does a player have in the contents of the cases? Only the banker knows for sure.

Episode 3.25
January 6

Last time, the Million Dollar Mission began anew. Tonight, not only are we loading the cases on the board, we're stepping back in time to do it, with a 70s themed game and an 80s themed game.

But before we hop into the WABAC machine, let's meet NICK ABDULLAH. He just moved to SoCal from Niagara Falls, where he was an accountant by day, and "Disco Nick" by night. Disco is his thing. He wants to use the money to help out his family and get a new car. Oh, and he also wants to open a disco club in SoCal.

Now that our disco-fied models are in place, we begin with a standard case affair and #10 for mom's birthday and Nick's jersey number.

Nick's case

Howie quickly gets into the leisure suit mode (C-Note: .... ew?)... and we get into the game.

12 - $100
18 - $75,000
15 - $200,000
2 - $5,000
21 - $75
16 - $400,000

We're having a bit of fun, and the banker is having none of that. Based on the last round, which saw four big amounts go away, calls for a disco move... and then offers this based on that move...

BANK OFFER
$63,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
$ 1 $ 5,000
$ 5 $ 10,000
$ 10 $ 25,000
$ 25 $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 75,000
$ 75 $ 100,000
$ 100 $ 200,000
$ 200 $ 300,000
$ 300 $ 400,000
$ 400 $ 500,000
$ 500 $ 750,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

Good first offer, and if only because he's got a soft spot for disco. It's a lot of money, but Nick came for more.

During the break, Disco Nick comes back appropriately dressed for more case-picking.

8 - $200
22 - $300,000
19 - $5
5 - "Nick, you look so groovy, baby!" $750.
14 (Crystal) - $500,000

It's a banker's board now, and the banker drops the offer to ...

BANK OFFER
$38,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
$ 1 $ 5,000
$ 5 $ 10,000
$ 10 $ 25,000
$ 25 $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 75,000
$ 75 $ 100,000
$ 100 $ 200,000
$ 200 $ 300,000
$ 300 $ 400,000
$ 400 $ 500,000
$ 500 $ 750,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

Never in a club alone, right? Let's meet our fellow dancers. Wes (friend), Linda( mom), and Chad (co-worker) are dancing with him. They all say "disco dreams"... NO DEAL.

1 - $10,000
26 - $300
23 - $400
7 - $10

Great round. Back to a draw board. Back to a raised offer... A record breaking offer... which involves the breaking of records. Ouch.

BANK OFFER
$94,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
$ 1 $ 5,000
$ 5 $ 10,000
$ 10 $ 25,000
$ 25 $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 75,000
$ 75 $ 100,000
$ 100 $ 200,000
$ 200 $ 300,000
$ 300 $ 400,000
$ 400 $ 500,000
$ 500 $ 750,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

Note to banker drone... You suck at breaking a record. A good "outrageous game show moment", though. This will get Nick a new car. There's a 27% chance that Nick is sitting on more than the offer (read: six-plus figures). Wes says send the deal back. So that's what we're doing. NO DEAL!

25 - $1,000,000
3 - "Not a problem." $1
13 - $25,000

The bad news... $1 million is gone. The good news: $750,000 is still there. The offer...

BANK OFFER
$70,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
$ 25 $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 100,000
$ 500 $ 750,000

"Wow." Wow, indeed. Still, it's NO DEAL.

Contrary to what Howie says, there's no landmine YET...

20 - "Could be nice to get you in a new car, huh?" $25
4 - "Heh... Far out." PENNY!

A good offer... the best tonight. But first, here they are again... the Banker Boyz... Okay, enough of that. The offer...

BANK OFFER
$99,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
$ 25 $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 100,000
$ 500 $ 750,000

There's basically one amount higher than that. How far is Nick willing to go? There's a 17% shot at $750,000. NO DEAL!

9 - $500

A little booty shake. A lot of money to pay out this round...

BANK OFFER
$121,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
$ 25 $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 100,000
$ 500 $ 750,000

Nick has his eye on the $750,000, but he's scared. He's giving up some $120,000 for a shot at about five times that... MAYBE. There's a 20% chance that Nick has the $750,000. Taking into account all of that...

Disco's not dead yet. NO DEAL!

6 - Gut instinct... $750,000

New offer...

$33,000

BANK OFFER
$33,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
$ 25 $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 100,000
$ 500 $ 750,000

No deal. Still $100,000 up for grabs.. Oh, never mind.

11 - $100,000

And the banker calls in with...

BANK OFFER
$15,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
$ 25 $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 100,000
$ 500 $ 750,000

It's a HELP, but that's it. DEAL for $15,000. But was it a good decision?

Jenelle had $50. Bank offer: $27,000. Nick had...

$1,000
10

Nick's Deal
$15,000

A good deal.

Now fast-forward to the 80s with TERESA TROGLIO. She's from Bayonne, NJ, and she said that the 80s were the time of her life. She had the big hair (and we have photos). She's a mother of two, and she's playing for them.

Cases are reset and models are redressed (along with Teresa's daughter Nicolette). Time to start this thing, but first, we make some substitutions. $1 has a scrunchy, $5 has hairspray, $10 has leg warmers, and $25 has a boom box.

Hopefully none of those things are in case #19.

17 - Leg warmers
8 - $400
22 - Nicolette's birthday... $25,000
10 - $75,000

Time for a phone call... Banker... "She's from Jersey. I thought I smelled something." That's the junk from Staten Island, apparently. The first offer...

BANK OFFER
$81,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
SCRUNCHY $ 5,000
HAIRSPRAY $ 10,000

$ 200 $ 300,000

$ 400 $ 500,000
$ 500 $ 750,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

A great first offer for a great first board. Not good enough for Teresa's two kids. NO DEAL!

Teresa would also like to get enough for a new kitchen. Five more cases...

2 - $75
13 - Her husband's favorite... With Pac-Man dying, $400,000
24 - $1,000,000
6 - $500
9 - Teresa's favorite... $100!

Two big ones are gone and we see the effect in the offer...

SCRUNCHY $ 5,000
HAIRSPRAY $ 10,000

$ 400 $ 500,000
$ 500 $ 750,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

Not that huge of a drop, but here to direct her are Bob (father-in-law), Nina (friend), and Robert (husband). Teresa mulls it over... it's still not enough. NO DEAL!

1 - $750
15 - BANOODLES!
12 - Teresa needs a boombox... Got it.
23 - $500,000

Still a good round. Still a dealer's board if Teresa decides to play it out. New offer...

BANK OFFER
$55,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000
SCRUNCHY $ 5,000
HAIRSPRAY $ 10,000
LEG WARMERS $ 25,000
BOOM BOX $ 50,000
$ 50 $ 75,000
$ 75 $ 100,000

$ 200 $ 300,000
$ 300 $ 400,000
$ 400 $ 500,000
$ 500 $ 750,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

No change. Nicolette says that the banker better the raise the offer before she leaves. Talk about a girl who knows what she wants.

Teresa wants another round. NO DEAL. After meeting the mother-in-law... and son... and Debbie (sorry... Deborah) Gibson... and Corey Feldman... No fool... Three cases.

18 - $750,000. The 80s icons swear it's not their fault.
14 - Hairspray
5 - It's nerve-wracking... Corey says the 5 stands for 50.... Get the man a prize.

Eight cases left, three of them with six figures. Two more cases go next round. Banker offers...

BANK OFFER
$64,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 5,000
  $ 10,000
  $ 50,000
  $ 100,000
  $ 200,000
$ 200 $ 300,000

Small raise, but a raise. Deborah wants her to go for broke. Teresa wants a kick up. NO DEAL!

Two cases.

25 - Corey wanted 20, but Hayley says it's good, so... $10,000
20 - Okay, pressure's on, dude... $300,000.

D'oh! Still a dealer's board. Still should be a good offer, maybe. The banker, a huge Corey Feldman fan, offers...

BANK OFFER
$47,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 5,000
  $ 10,000
  $ 50,000
  $ 100,000
  $ 200,000
$ 200 $ 300,000

Now there's a one-in-three chance at six figures. Seems like nothing right now, but will Teresa go for it? Yep. No deal.

16 - $200

Left side is clear and the safety net is still up. The banker ups the ante to...

BANK OFFER
$60,000

  $ 1,000

  $ 10,000
  $ 50,000
  $ 100,000
  $ 200,000
$ 200 $ 300,000

Husband wants Teresa to go for one more and take her chance. One more shot? One more shot.

3 - Lisa and Nicolette reveal... $100,000.

Ouch. Safety net is gone. Is this the end for Teresa? Banker offers...

BANK OFFER
$55,000

  $ 1,000
  $ 5,000
  $ 10,000
  $ 50,000
  $ 100,000
  $ 200,000
$ 200 $ 300,000

... again. With one case to open. Parents want Teresa to deal. That's guaranteed... She can't risk walking away with nothing. DEAL for $55,000.

But was it the right decision? Sara had $50,000. Banker would've offered $74,000. Keltie had... $5000. Banker would've offered $111,000. In Teresa's case...

$1,000

Teresa's Deal
$55,000

Another great deal. We continue on with 2008 and the Million Dollar Mission next time.
