February 18

We tried 11 times... and 11 times we were met with failure, so we're ending the Million Dollar Mission with a bang. Katie Henslin had 13 million dollar cases... 11 of them are still in play.

Her case.... #8

?

Katie's case

Now to open five more cases as Petey remains suspended in mid-air. He's afraid of heights, and every time Katie opens an MDC, he's going flying.

5 - BANOODLES!
17 - $10
9 - Patricia's crying... and for good reason. $1,000,000
13 - $1,000,000. Nine left.
25 - ... make that eight. $1,000,000

Fifteen cases left, and of those cases, eight have the million. That's little more than half. The first offer was $280,000. The next offer...

BANK OFFER
$236,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000,000
$ 1 $ 1,000,000
$ 5 $ 1,000,000
$ 10 $ 1,000,000
$ 25 $ 1,000,000
$ 50 $ 1,000,000
$ 75 $ 1,000,000
$ 100 $ 1,000,000
$ 200 $ 1,000,000
$ 300 $ 1,000,000
$ 400 $ 1,000,000
$ 500 $ 1,000,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

Still six figures. Let's meet the loved ones, Brad (boss), Auntie Deb, and Tyler (younger brother). They all say that Katie doesn't lose, so... NO DEAL.

Banker phones in again. He's bringing in his own support. What that means... no idea, but they're carrying something.

Back to the game.

20 - $1,000,000. Seven left.
6 (Lanisha) - $1,000,000. Six left.
14 - $1,000,000... Five left.
1 - Skid stops at six. $75

After we hoist Petey up three levels, banker phones in with this offer...

BANK OFFER
$193,000

$ 0.01 $ 1,000,000
$ 1 $ 1,000,000
$ 5 $ 1,000,000
$ 10 $ 1,000,000
$ 25 $ 1,000,000
$ 50 $ 1,000,000
$ 75 $ 1,000,000
$ 100 $ 1,000,000
$ 200 $ 1,000,000
$ 300 $ 1,000,000
$ 400 $ 1,000,000
$ 500 $ 1,000,000
$ 750 $ 1,000,000

Another drop, but still, with a nice little safety net... NO DEAL. Ride the horse 'til it falls over.

3 - Cousin Anna's choice... "Whoo-hoo!" $50
19 - $5
26 - $400

A great round! That means we're going to see a great offer...

But first, the banker's so confident that Katie isn't going away with the million, that he rented a billboard for one week to say "Katie Henslin, Loser." If she does, it'll be changed to "Katie Henslin... winner". The offer...

BANK OFFER
$318,000

$ 25 $ 1,000,000
$ 100 $ 1,000,000
$ 200 $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000

Still a nice safety net. She has no other choice but to play on. NO DEAL!

10 - $1,000,000. Four left.
23 - Make that three... $1,000,000...

Petey goes up two, and the banker goes up to...

BANK OFFER
$343,000

$ 25 $ 1,000,000
$ 100 $ 1,000,000
$ 200 $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000

A new high for this game, but she still has that safety net. "Ride it 'til it falls over." NO DEAL.

16 - $100

That will tip the game to Katie's favor. The banker offers... another level. With a 60 percent chance that she's sitting on a million, the new offer is...

BANK OFFER
$405,000

$ 25 $ 1,000,000
$ 100 $ 1,000,000
$ 200 $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000

Safety net. Not a question. NO DEAL!

12 - "For the record, you're my favorite contestant. You're very sweet." $1,000,000

Peter goes up one, while the banker calls up with... a big hit.

BANK OFFER
$327,000

$ 25 $ 1,000,000
$ 100 $ 1,000,000
$ 200 $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000

That's still a lot of money. She still has a 50/50 shot at a million.

NO DEAL!

Next case...

24 - A sigh of relief. $25!

Next offer from the banker is back up to...

BANK OFFER
$491,000

$ 25 $ 1,000,000
$ 100 $ 1,000,000
$ 200 $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000

This is a big number. The banker respects Katie for once. He respects her play. He wants her gone. The help says roll it.

NO DEAL.

Now here's the deal. Heh. If the next case holds $200, then this game is over, and Katie Henslin is a millionaire.

7 - "Good things happen to good people, and if anyone should win this money, I pray that it's you..." $1,000,000

And the banker calls in with the final offer of the night...

BANK OFFER
$449,000

$ 25 $ 1,000,000
$ 100 $ 1,000,000
$ 200 $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000
  $ 1,000,000

Some respect. The help is split for the first time tonight. Some say that Katie's a fighter. Pete agrees. The rest of the help wants her to take the deal.

Banker defines winning as leaving with nothing but a million, but Katie hardly sees $449,000 as losing. DEAL!

The question now... what was in Katie's case?

$1,000,000

Katie's Deal
$449,000

Should've went with your gut instinct, but for her daughter, she understandably could not risk it.

But the question remains... Will someone take the Deal for a million? Find out next time.
