Las Vegas
Finals 4
July 9
Over the last six weeks, we've seen the
craziest obstacles ever known mow down athlete after athlete. Now only
the top 100 remain - 15 from each bracket and 10 wild cards - to
challenge the mother of all obstacles: Mount Midoriyama. But instead of
going to Japan, the course is being brought to America.
Nearly two-thirds finished, and ten
athletes have passed through to the next stage. Who will join them?
FINALS
Las Vegas
The first stop of the road to total
victory consists of the following obstacles...
- STEP SLIDER: Quad steps plus rope
slider.
- ROLLING LOG: Grab the log and hang on.
- GIANT SWING: ... it's a giant swing.
- JUMPING SPIDER: Crawl between a spider wall
- HALFPIPE ATTACK: Run a wall, grab a rope.
- WARPED WALL: ... Fourteen feet.
- SPINNING BRIDGE: No mercy from these big balls.
- FINAL CLIMB: Grab the cargo net and run to the finish.
You have 2:10 to complete the course.
The fastest runners are ready to take on
the course... #32 to #13 tonight.
- 32) Kevin Klein (24, Dallas, Dallas
Cowboys Cheerleader trainer) - FAIL Jumping Spider
- 31) Stephen Volcko (25, Ames, IA; unemployed) - FAIL Jumping Spider
Two more - Michael Eckert and Arthur Skov
- fall prey to the Jumping Spider.
- W-28) Selena Laniel (37, San Diego,
acrobat) - FAIL Jumping Spider
- 27) Remi Bakkar (24, Las Vegas, acrobat) - COMPLETE (:19.32)
Meanwhile, if you think you can conquer
Mt. Midoriyama, casting has begun for ANW5. Go to G4tv.com/anwcasting

Two more athletes beat the Jumping
Spider... but both would fail afterwards.
- 24) Jared "JJ" Woods (24, Miami,
free-running instructor) - FAIL Halfpipe Attack
- W-23) Kelvin "Grandpa Ninja" Antoine (53, Santa Clarita, CA; forklift
instructor) - FAIL Jumping Spider (technically, it would be a Course Out
because he grabbed the steel support after completing the Giant Swing)
Two more runs - Elet Hall (1:46) and
Chris Wilczewski (2:01.26) - come up aces, bringing the total Stage 2
docket to 13.
- 20) Brent Steffensen (31, Sandy, UT;
stuntman) - COMPLETE (:29), and the man who's gone further than any
American on Mt. Midoriyama looks like he's on pace to do it again.
Three more runs fail, but Sean Noble
(1:53.20) brings us to 15 on the docket for Stage 2.
- 17) Kyle Cochran (23, Los Altos, CA;
student/cheer & dance coach) - FAIL Spinning Bridge
Two more runners - Travis Rosen (1:51)
and Brian Arnold (1:58.16) - advance.
Our final run of the night...

And the list grows, putting the others in
