Southeast Qualifier 1
June 24

We're down to our last region. We've seen our fair share of Ninja Warriors and Ninja Wannabes. But with 75 already on the plane to Vegas, who has the strength, the speed, and the focus to join them from the Southeast?

SOUTHEAST REGION
Florida International University, Miami

Today's Qualifier Course consists of...

- QUAD STEPS: Four steps, seven feet between each one.
- LOG GRIP: Hold on past two jolting drops.
- BUNGEE BRIDGE: Four platforms, each one shorter than the next and each one made of rubber.
- JUMP HANG: A cargo net and tramp that could be the difference between getting the win and getting wet.
- SWING CIRCLE: Brand new this year, competitors must leap from these four free-moving rings.
- WALL LIFT: Three walls, each one heavier than the last one.
- WARPED WALL: Fourteen feet, three tries.

If 30 do not complete the course, then it goes to the fastest and the furthest. Action under the lights begins with... .

- Brian Lara (22, Miami, student) - FAIL Log Grip
- Cristille Boyd (35, Woodbridge, VA, gymnastics coach) - FAIL Quad Steps
- AJ Amores (33, Wesley Chapel, FL, retail store manager) - FAIL Jump Hang
- Rafael Viego (32, Miami, attorney) - FAIL Quad Steps
- Christian "CJ" Koegel (27, Boca Raton, FL, business owner/actor) - Last we saw him, he was on "Real World Road Rules", Jonny... FAIL Jump Hang
- Aric Lee (36, Alexandria, VA, firefighter) - FAIL Jump Hang
- Michael Koslap (30, Alexandria, VA, freelance videographer) - FAIL Swing Circle

Former American Ninja Challenge winner Brett Sims failed at the Swing Circle as did Christopher Clark, Heath Estep, and Spencer Mulligan.

- Mark Stowell (24, Melbourne, FL, student) - FAIL Swing Circle
- Kamerion Wimbley (28, Tampa, DE for the Tennessee Titans) - COMPLETE (1:30). Kam Wimbley SACKS the course!

Five more athletes come close, but the Warped Wall knock them all out.

- Dante Mucherino (24, Gainesville, FL, body piercer) - COMPLETE (1:46)
- Drew Drechsel (23, Gainesville, FL, used car lot manager) - This is his first big contest since his massive knee injury last season. COMPLETE (1:02). Drew Drechsel is BACK!

During the break, four more athletes - Logan Cruz, Michael Eckert, Gabriel Cortes, and Kyle Stokes - join him above the Warped Wall.

- Ben Wicks (24, Winter Park, FL, acrobatic performer) - COMPLETE (1:18)

Finally, it's an American Ninja Warrior All-Star... Stand and salute...

- Capt. Ryan Stratis (29, Kennesaw, GA, Army National Guard safety specialist) - FAIL Bungee Bridge. He touched the ground. That's an out.
