April 16, 2007

Chico:  Welcome back. I'm David Krumholtz, he's Rob Morrow. :)
Gordon: And this is the Numbers Report. Chico will give me a number and I will give a bad answer as to what the number is.
Chico:  Then I'll give the right number, and he'll say "Oh, now I get it."
Gordon: Pretty much. So what do we have this week?
Chico:  We start with...

25,000

Gordon: Are you stealing form Dick Clark again?
Chico:  Ixnay on the ealingstay... Besides... if I really wanted to steal from Dick Clark, I'd steal the Challengers.
Gordon: I'll say the highest amount won by anyone on Millionaire this week
Chico:   Actually.. no.
Gordon: What do you got?
Chico:  It's actually the amount being sought by... this lady, Judy Ann Myers, who claims that she tripped on the DOND set after a staffer asked her to dance. Allegedly, of course.
Gordon: Its nice that its only $25,000. Based on what she is saying, she may have a case
Chico:  She could have a case.
Gordon: Next number?
Chico:  Next...

80

Chico:  And no, it's not the year of my birth... at least not in this case.
Gordon: Number of minutes worth of commercials we have to sit through in the American Idol finale
Chico:  ... close
Gordon: Close?
Chico:  This number was the final score achieved by a 30-year-old record-manager from London... in 1990. After the "Mad Minute" Speedround...
Gordon: Sale of the Century?
Chico:  That was Simon's final score. And he still didn't win.
Gordon: Ah.
Chico:  Next up...

5

Gordon: Letters in L-i-n-g-o during GSN's Word Week
Chico:  ... true, but wrong. It's the number of games spun off from "The Surreal Life". We have... "Fame Game"...Two seasons of "Flavor of Love"..."I Love New York"...Bret Michael's upcoming "Rock of Love"...and the forthcoming "Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School." Not bad for a series that was cancelled by the WB.
Gordon: True. Thats a great example of something flourishing on cable
Chico:  Next one...

4100

Gordon: The number of times Kourtney with a K says 'Count the Yo Yos' on My Games Fever
Chico:  You're gonna laugh when you hear this. It's actually Wednesday's winning total on Jeopardy!.
Gordon: ok
Chico:  The Final Jeopardy Triple Stumper...

Of the 24 letters of the Greek alphabet, it's the only one that ends in an English letter that one of the others do

Gordon: I know it. What is Rho?
Chico:   Took me a while, but I got it as well...Okay, one more number. Ready?
Gordon: Ready

6.9 million

Gordon: I'm guessing it's a rating. Rating of Identity?
Chico:   low-balling the figure, are we?
Gordon: Why not?
Chico:   It's actually... get ready for this... the price tag for season six of WPT on GSN.
Gordon: 1 season?
Chico:   One season. $300K an episode. 23 episodes. Add it up... $6.9 Million
Gordon: That would do it. Is it a worthy investment?
Chico:   I'd have to say so, yes. Now it's just a matter of getting the word out.
Gordon: I don't think GSN will have a problem with it and I think it will score some good numbers
Chico:   They'll recoup. Not a problem. And the poker world will be better off for it as will the game show channel.
Gordon: And if not, there's always Quiznation and 100 winners.
Chico:   But of course. Okay, that's it for Number Please. What's next?
Gordon: Next we help out the game show world as we do some resilutions
Chico:   See you soon!
