East Coast vs. West
Coast
August 24
Last night, you saw Shanna
Moakler take $100,000 from the 60 Second Circle for charity. She was
this close to taking it all the way to the house, but sometimes the
quarter doesn't go down easily.
Now comes a new challenge. A
California girl will take on a chick from Boston in a mad dash to see
who can take home the million. It's the East Coast/West Coast beef all
over again. Representing the East Coast... MELISSA "Buzz" BUSFIELD (27,
Boston). And holding it down for the West Coast... ERICA SANCHEZ (26;
Orinda, CA).
The lowdown on the
head-to-head. Three games, best two-of-three. The winner will play the
rest of the game out. The loser will leave with whatever cash she wins
in the 60 Second Circle.
ELIMINATION LEVEL 1 - $1000:
PAPER DRAGON. Using only your arms and hands, a contestant must unwind
two rolls of party streamers. If the delicate paper tears, you may pick
it up and start again.
And "The first player to
lose two out of three challenges will face... ELIMINATION."
WINNER... MELISSA ($1000;
East Coast leads, 1-0)
ELIMINATION LEVEL 2 - $2500:
BULB BALANCE. Using salt as a means of creating traction, a contestant
must balance a light bulb and an egg. She must do this for a three
count. Each will have only one packet of salt to assist.
WINNER... By a HAIR...
ERICA! ($2500, Tied game)
ELIMINATION LEVEL 3 - $5000:
BALL CAP. A bottle cap is placed upside down on the mouth of a soda
bottle. The contestants must drop a golf ball onto a glass bottle so
that the ball both displaces the bottle cap and lands on the mouth of
the bottle. Most bottles landed wins. The winner stays, the loser gets
paid.
WINNER... ERICA, 3-2 ($5000,
West Coast wins, 2-1). Buzz leaves with $1000.
Back to Erica, who pockets
$5000 and three lives to spend in this...
LEVEL 4 - $10,000: TEA
PARTY. Two tea bags are attached to the brim of a ballcap. The
contestant must swing their head so that the tea bags land on the brim
of the cap.
