Episode 109
May 2

Last week on the Mad Minute, Cedrick Cleveland finished his game with $50,000 after getting knocked out on level 7, while John Moran and Becky Bub ended up with nothing after they timed out.

Next to try her luck is a college student from Sacramento, JESSICA JAMES!

LEVEL 1 - $1000: WET BALL. Using a spray bottle, a contestant must keep a balloon in the air and have it land inside a trash bin.

And as always, "failure to complete this task in 60 seconds may result in ELIMINATION."

First attempt... COMPLETE (:15, $1000). Jessica decides to go to...

LEVEL 2 - $2500: KA-BROOM. A marshmallow sits on a paper plate. Using the spring action from a broom, a contestant must launch the marshmallow into the air and catch it in a cup. This must be repeated THREE times.

First attempt... COMPLETE (:20, $2500). Next up....

LEVEL 3 - $5000: JUNK IN THE TRUNK. Eight ping-pong balls are loaded inside an empty tissue box attached to the small of the contestant's back. Using whatever movements are necessary, the contestant must empty the tissue box without touching it (High score: :49)

First attempt... COMPLETE (:35, $5000).

LEVEL 4 - $10,000: SPOON FROG. A contestant must use a teaspoon to launch another teaspoon into a glass. This must be repeated THREE times.

First attempt... FAIL (TIME OUT, two lives remaining)

Second attempt... COMPLETE (:01, $10,000)

LEVEL 5 - $50,000: EGG ROLL. Using a medium pizza box as a fan, the contestant must propel three eggs down stage to a waiting area. (High score: :00)

First attempt... FAIL (TIME OUT, one life remaining)
Final attempt... COMPLETE (:03, $50,000)! That is banked money. Let's play with house money now.

LEVEL 6 - $75,000: KEEP IT UP. A contestant must keep two feathers up in the air using only the air in their lungs. The feathers cannot touch the ground or the player's body.

Final Attempt... FAIL (:17, GAME OVER). But Jessica leaves with $50,000.

Will DJ KEITH CRENSHAW follow suit, or can he play all the way to the Million Dollar Minute?

LEVEL 1 - $1000: NERVOUS NELLY. A contestant's appendages are strapped to four pedometers. They must use whatever means possible to accumulate a total of 500 clicks.

First attempt... COMPLETE (520, $1000).

LEVEL 2 - $2500: NOODLING AROUND. Using only one uncooked strand of spaghetti in their mouth, a contestant must pick up SIX pieces of penne pasta from the table. Any use of hands is a foul, resulting in an automatic loss of life. Break the spaghetti strand, and you must start over.

First attempt... COMPLETE (:15, $2500)

LEVEL 3 - $5000: OFFICE DOMINOES. Using 11 reams of copier paper, a contestant must create a domino chain that ends with the last ream hitting a bell.

First attempt.... COMPLETE (:06, $5000)

LEVEL 4 - $10,000: PUDDLE JUMPER. Three cups are separated by three, six, and nine inches. The contestant must blow three ping pong balls from one water-filled cup to another.

First attempt... FAIL (TIME OUT, two lives remaining.)
Second attempt... FAIL (TIME OUT, one life remaining.)
Final attempt... FAIL (TIME OUT, GAME OVER)

We'll try again next time.
