CRASH!! - February 16
And then there were four...Drew & Cheryl...Stacy &
Tony...Jerry & Anna...Lisa & Louis...and the odd one
out: George & Edyta. They were gone last week. They
will blast 2 new routines never done before. The
judges then will rate it from 1 to 10, with 10 being
the highest, and 30 being the maximum. Will it be
another night of scores or will the underdogs pull the
upset? Let's party!
The couples will pull 1 ballroom routine and another
in Latin. They'll score on both routines. No need to
waste time, let's get into it. First off, Stacy &
Tony. Last week, it was a perfect 30 for them. Will a
new dance do it again? They'll quickstep to "You Can't
Hurry Love" by Phil Collins. By the start, both went
to the band area for a few swings and they swung over
to the floor. Both went around the floor, did some
footwork, and did some foot bouncing. Stacy ended it
with a head circle and and sit on Tony's knee. Now
let's see if the judges are paying for it: Carrie Ann
said it had a great articulation of feet, Len said it
did exactly that and Bruno said it had a symphony of
beauty. Will a 30 strike a chord? Let's go to the
scores:
CARRIE ANN: 9
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 9
Total: 27
And it's off to a good start!
Going 2nd, Jerry & Anna. Last week, the fans lured
them off elimination. Will a higher score bring them
in? They'll tango to Blondie's "One Way or Another."
Jerry swept it up with a broom, but Anna got involved
in a tangle and Anna snatched it and threw it away
while Jerry takes his jacket off. Anna ended it with a
dip with a dead leg. Now let's see if the judges like
it or not: Carrie Ann said he took a huge risk, Len
said Jerry is not George and he didn't see the proper
tango, (Is this what George did with all those props?)
and Bruno said it had nothing to do with tango. At
least, there's something...the numbers:
CARRIE ANN: 7
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 6
Total: 20
And they go to 2nd place.
3rd, Lisa & Louis. Last week, a quickstep stepped out
of the bottom 2. How will this week go? They'll fox
trot to "Fever" by Peggy Lee." Louis did some snaps at
the start, but snapped up a good performance. It ended
with a arm-in-arm stroll and a slow hand touch. Now
let's see if it pays off. Carrie Ann said it was a
really good performance, Len said it was a treat and a
joy to behold and Len said it was a foxy, delicious
foxtrot. Will this routine be the special on the menu?
Going to the scores:
CARRIE ANN: 8
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 9
Total: 26
2nd place, but 1 away from tying it up.
Rounding out the ballroom round, Drew & Cheryl. Last
week, they made a 30 happen. Will it happen again?
They'll foxtrot to "It Had to Be You." It worked like
magic. Both did a few kicks and then Cheryl did a jump
over & kneel to end it. How did it go? Carrie Ann said
the partnership was wonderful, Len said he never
ceased to amaze him and Bruno said he could've done
better tonight. Will it be better? Scorecard, please:
CARRIE ANN: 9
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 8
Total: 26
And they tie Lisa & Louis for 1st.
After 1 round of dancing: Stacy & Tony have 26, Lisa &
Drew share 26 and Jerry & Anna have 20. Will Jerry
bring out his big moves? On to the next round....
LATIN ROUND
Up first, Stacy & Tony doing a cha-cha to Kelly
Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone." Stacy did a
little acting doing a slap gesture and a leg hook. She
also did a dip and by the end, Stacy walked to face
Tony while he kneeled down. Going to the judges now:
Carrie Ann said it had great leg action, Len said it
was abnormal as great and Bruno said it was a feast of
cha-cha. Going on to the scoring buffet...
CARRIE ANN: 9
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 10
Round 2 Total: 28 Overall Total: 55
And they take the lead!
2nd up, Jerry & Anna doing a rumba to Toni Braxton's
"Un-break My Heart." Jerry puts the jacket on Anna,
but she tangles with it and does a dip. After a
throwaway, Anna did a between the legs split, a leg
lift, a foot drag and a leg hook to falling dip to end
it. Will Jerry make good this round? Carrie Ann said
he did a great job, Len said being a sportsman coming
out here, he is the worst on this show, and Bruno said
it was a great effort. Now the scores...
CARRIE ANN: 7
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 7
Round 2 Total: 21 Overall Total: 47
And they creep up on 2nd place.
Now 3rd, Lisa & Louis doing a cha-cha to Madonna's
"Material Girl." Lisa did a point to the camera by
mid-point, and she also did footwork. She ended it by
doing a leg hook & dip. Will it be first this time?
Carrie Ann said she nailed those routines, Len said it
was a good mix of basic & clever choreography, and
Bruno said it was full of pep & pizzazz. Will it bring
fizz like cola? Scoreboard time:
CARRIE ANN: 9
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 9
Round 2 Total: 27 Overall total: 53
And they take 2nd place.
Last up, Drew & Cheryl doing a rumba to "Total Eclipse
of The Heart" by Bonnie Tyler. Cheryl did a leg circle
& hang, a few spins, a head dip, and a swerve. Both
did a romantic dip to end the song. How did the judges
do? Carrie Ann said it was so sexy & passionate, Len
said it did a wonderful routine, but it was far too
aggressive, and Bruno said the rocket man is back on
orbit. Will they take the lead into super sonic speed?
Ring in the scores:
CARRIE ANN: 10
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 10
Round 2 Total: 29 Overall Total: 55
And they tie Stacy & Tony for 1st.
After a sneek peek of a segment that features Hulk
Hogan and Harry Hamlin, we get a final look at the
scoreboard: Stacy & Drew have 55, Lisa & Louis have
53, and way behind are Jerry & Anna have 47. Tune in
tomorrow to see who's going to the championship match.
We're on a 23-hour break. See you tomorrow when we
