Jason: Come On Down = $1,000,000 case.
Gordon: No love for Survey Says?
Chico: $300,000.
Mike: <Nell Carter> PEE PEE = 1 penny
Jason: Slide It Earl...$50,000
Joe: What about "Once you buy a prize, it's yours to keep?"
Gordon: Big Bucks, No Whammies, Stop!
Joe: PYL= 750K (and a spin)
Chico: Final answer?
Jason: $400,000 for Final Answer
Mike: Those red boxes are very important. We'll talk about them once they're
selected = $5
Joe: I think Once you buy a prize, it's yours to keep is $10,000
Chico: .. We're going to have to revisit this on a future WLTI.
Jason: Agreed.
Joe: Yay for future material.
Gordon: I think someone hit a nerve. But we're going to hit some more nerves
as we do some Infiltration.
Chico: What the hell kind of segue is that? :-)
Jason: Hey, you work with the material you are given.
Joe: *fires up his Ghost in the Shell DVD's*
Chico: SAC or 2nd Gig?
Joe: Either.
Gordon: This is the classic transplant game where we see if certain people would
do better in different environments. For example...
Would you prefer to see any of the Deal or No Deal contestants on Unan1mous?
Jason: No.
Joe: God no
Jason: Only to save them from that show.
Joe: Although the Mayor guy would be interesting
Chico: Cheryl Jackson. She seems lively :-) And her choir :-)
Gordon: I actually would be more interested in that sort of match-up. You would
have happy people in the room, which would be far more interesting and
entertaining than the cutthroats there.
Joe: I think for making a bad deal, you should be penalized by going on
Unan1mous.
Gordon: You could have the choir sing down the count on the money clock
Chico: But hey, it's Fox.. Of course they don't go for happy. That's too much
work.
Gordon: Happy gets ratings. When will they learn this? Speaking of which...
Kellie Pickler. The ultimate happy. Does she or Bucky Covington do anything on
Nashville Star?
Chico: Compared to what stiffs they wrangled up this year... Yes.
Jason: Yes.
Joe: No, because Nashville is niche, and that theoretically means talent goes
farther. Kellie and Bucky don't have talent.
Chico: ... Joe presents a valid point. The Chairman likes valid points.
Gordon: I actually think that where talent is concerned, I think that Bucky
would get farther on Star than Kellie. Bucky's 'Redneck Music', should you will,
would get a nice following.
Chico: I'd listen, and I'm not even a country music fan.
Joe: Good counterpoint.
Jason: My father, William Block, says that although this year Nashville Star's
talent pool has weakened (but not by much), it is way an above AI. Bucky would
fail, but Kellie would succeed.
Chico: Another good counterpoint.
Joe: This would be a good idle Idol Chat discussion
Chico: Taking notes, Gordon?
Gordon: I am. Next up...
We always have a male athlete for Dancing With the Stars. Let's see...at Pros
Vs. Joes, we have Kevin Greene, Xavier McDaniels, Alexi Lalas and Dave Stewart.
Would any of them do? Or is it time for a female volleyball player in the form
of Misty May?
Chico: FEMALE VOLLEYBALL PLAYER!
Joe: MISTY!
Gordon: Play Misty for me.
Jason: Who is Misty?
Joe: Misty May is half of a famous Female Volleyball tandem (along with Kerri
Walsh)
Gordon: And who's also the Female Pro is Pros Vs. Joes.
Jason: I assume she is smoking hot.
Joe: I remember her name because it's Misty....you know, the 2nd gym leader in
the old Pokemon games
Chico: And because it's Spike, yes, she's smokin' hot.
Jason: Right..
Gordon: Next one...
We see Phil Hellmuth moving to Celebrity Poker Showdown. Would it be any better
if the show took a dramatic turn and Mike Sexton took over Dave Foley's role?
Joe: No. I like Dave. Mike would kill the mood, I would think.
Jason: Who is the annoying one on WPT?
Chico: Vince.
Jason: Mike would be ok. But I like Dave better.
Chico: And to answer your question... CPS needs comedy.
Joe: I don't think a "good ol' country boy" would work on Bravo.
Gordon: Sexton is the good one with the cool catch phrases like 'Walking ATM
Machine'
Joe: Rockette > Walking ATM Machine
Chico: Vince is the guy that speaks coolly as if to say "never mind that I have
a mullet". And Courtney... she's just the newbie.
Gordon: Newbie! Next...
Staying in Gambling, as you can tell, we were less than pleased when we saw who
would be playing in the King of Vegas. So who do you want in there for Season 2?
Jason: ME!
No, you can't select yourselves. Silly Media Hos.
Jason: Seriously...Jennifer Tilly
Chico: Mimi Rogers.
Joe: I thought Mike the Mouth behaved himself quite well, actually. Bring him
back. Steve Dannenmann.
Gordon: Compared to Dave and Chainsaw, Mike was an angel. I'd like to see Phil
Ivey, Johnny Chan and Men the Master Nguyen
Joe: Mike + Steve = Awesome TV
Chico: So we have our lineup... Are you listening, Spike?
Joe: Of course not. They have Star Trek up their noses
Chico: No, that's G4.
Joe: Oh that's right
Chico: I don't know what they're smokin', but I want some.
Joe: Spike has their new logo up their noses.
Chico: It's on the same typeface as the DoND logo... you think they're trying
to capitalize?
Joe: It looks like they modified an American Gladiators logo.
Gordon: Last one...
In an article that came out this week, Arizona is offering to host TV shows -
specifically game shows - with the promise of tax breaks and other advantages.
If you could change the locale of any show and move it, what would you do?
Joe: Hmmmmm.
Chico: Good question..
Joe: I'd move GSN there, because then they might up their original show budgets
Chico: From squat to squat and a spin?
Gordon: I'd love to hear the American Idolers in Radio City Music Hall. How cool
would that be?
Joe: That would be blasphemy.
Chico: That... would... be... awesome... You ever hear the acoustics in that
place?
Joe: I'm talking conceptually.
Chico: Radio City, baby :-)
Jason: Do it at Radio City Music Hall. (high five)
Chico: AL-right.
Jason: How about TPIR in NYC?
Gordon: WOF has done it there, why not TPIR?
Chico: And Jeopardy!
Jason: What he said.
Gordon: Speaking of shows, there is a Family Feud live show brewing in Atlantic
City, I believe. Is that right, Jason?
Jason: Thanks to Tim Sternberg for this tip.
Gordon: Do tell.
Jason: Starting April 2 at the Showboat. It is a companion show to the TPIR at
Bally's.
Joe: God, May 15 can't come soon enough for me
Jason: They are/were looking for production people on craigslist.
Gordon: what are the days and times for the show?
Jason: Sun-Fri at 7PM dark on Sat. 25.00 a ticket. No One Under 6 permitted at
all. But Under 18 can watch with someone over 21.
Gordon: And when is TPIR?
Jason: TPIR--Sunday 3 and 7. Sunday-Thursday 3 and 7. Friday 7-10. check
ticketmaster for cancellations.
Chico: Choices, choices...
Jason: There are a few for this week right now. $25. I think I may have to do a
review. For the Feud of Course.
Chico: I think so, too... Anyway, I think it's time for a break... yeah, for the
Feud, of course :-) When we come back.. I have swag!
Joe: w00! l337 5w4g!
Chico: Are You Buying What They're Selling? Find out next!
Gordon: oooohhh...swag!
