"Episode 33" - May
15
(C-Note: what follows is a recap
from the abbreviated broadcast due to a Presidential Address.)
Last time, Chad Pritchard took the
banker for $14,000. Pretty good considering that he had $500 in
his case. Now it's Lauren Potter's turn, as she rejects an offer
for $131,000 for her case, #22.
Thanks to the President, we now
pick up the game already in progress with one case to open.
Case 21 (Tameka) |
$400,000 |
Two huge amounts left, but the
banker's going to renege a bit.

"That's not fair!" It's the game,
Lauren. Howie calls for Lauren's final answer...
... and that's when Regis decides
to show up. Why's he here? I'm sure it has something to do with
"America's Got Talent" this summer... Anywho, after a tiff about
a catch phrase, and a plug for said series, it's time for
Lauren's final answer... $97,000.... Deal or no deal?
The sister says to take it. Dad
says no deal.
Lauren... examines the numbers...
and takes the risk. No deal! One more to go.
"Please...
Anya.. Number 10!" |
Anya drags the sister back
on stage to open the case...
Mother... $500,000. |

Mom doesn't want her to go with
$10. The crowd says no deal.
Lauren... "Deal!" Deal for
$44,000! But was it the right decision?
Marisa had $10, which would've
put the offer at $62,000. Aubrie had $5, which would've put the
offer at ... $100,000. In Lauren's case...
A bum deal, but still a lot of
money for anyone in New York.
Next up, a player whose husband
is serving in Iraq... RENEE STOKES! She's playing for family,
home, and her own Harley.
The cases have been reloaded. The
homework has been done... "Megan. She looks exactly like one of
my sisters." She gets case #6. And a hug.
Now for the first six...

That will factor heavily into the decision.

deal".

With that, NBC uplinks to Iraq,
where we see SSG Justin Stokes with some help. "No deal. We got
a bunch of Marines here for support."
Deal or no deal? "I will listen
to my husband... No deal!" They're going to take some quality
time, while we take a break.
After which, we open three.

Eight cases left, with a 50/50

hallway... Jay Leno on a Dyna Wide Glide. 2006 model. Total
deal: $117,000. So $99,000 and a new Harley-Davidson. Wheels or
no wheels?
Justin says no deal.
"No deal!"
The bike is gone. Mom and Dad
tell Justin that they love them. Aww... Next, the two...
Case 4

continue. "No deal."

brains... Fakeout..

One more to go.
Case 1
(Claudia) |
Apparently Renee and
Claudia have a lot in common: both are half-Italian, and
both love to gamble.
$100,000 |
Not terrible, as it's still less
than that last bank offer. Here's the newer one. Actually, the
banker radios Justin with the offer...

Suddenly, everyone says "deal."
Justin says... "How do you feel about it?" She says one more...
"I think she should deal."
Then Justin is cut off...
Then he returns. Begrudgingly, he
agrees to one more go.
"No deal!"
One more to go.
Case 12 (Jill) |
Justin's choice...
Wait... Change! |
Case 11
(Katie) |
Julie's choice...
"I'm so nervous right now for
ya."
Should've stuck with
Justin. $500,000 |
The banker calls in studio with
this...

She can still buy the bike, but
will she if she goes one more? Justin says to deal.
End result... Deal for $28,000!
But how good a deal was it?
Back to Jill... "Hi!" To add
further insult to injury, she had $25. Offer would've been
$40,000. In Renee's case...
And in an
obviously-pieced-together-at-the-last-second ending, Howie
thanks America's armed services for their neverending support to
their country and for uplinking Justin to the studio. Check out
Americasupportsyou.mil for more information, and we'll see you
next time with a new player.
