"Episode 13" -
March 13
Last time, we saw Kim Woods turn
$5,000 into $50,000... and we saw Eric Paulsen turn a penny into
$19,000.
What kind of parlor tricks will
we see this week? Let's get it started with... Bryan Thompson!
Bryan's a recently-elected mayor of Brunswick, GA, and he proves
it by presenting Howie with the key to the city of Brunswick,
GA... which also serves as a bottle opener! His platform...
well, it's something.
Our platform... making Mayor
Bryan a millionaire! He begins by picking a case... He picks 17,
escorted by the lovely Jenelle...
From there, we begin the picking
with six...

Bryan brought his "honorary
council of citizens" to help. They are Heather (wife), LaVerne
(on the board of directors), Jack (small-business owner), and
Bea (another council member). They all say... no. He was elected
in a landslide by listening to the people... and the people say
"No Deal".
Four to open...

says it could fix her bathroom. Howie thinks that the voters
should have a hand in this... so we're going via satellite to
Brunswick, GA to see what the town thinks (because Howie is up
there with Chuck Norris in having super powers). They all say
"NO DEAL!"
Bryan: "I'm gonna have to go with
my constituents on this. No deal!"

Townsperson Kathleen Martin (a little girl) says "No deal!"
There is now a 50/50 shot at at least $50,000 in Bryan's case...
And a 1/3 shot at greater than the bank offer... The town says
no...
"No deal!" One to open...

having half a mill... Will he take that chance? Heather...
"That's a lot of money." She wants to see that much money go to
Brunswick. The shock of that million going away... wasn't
enough. No deal. One to open.

2-0-2... His highest amount...
Will he take it? Heather says take the deal... Campaign manager
says he needs at least $500,000. The town says deal! Bryan takes
the advice.. of his wife. Deal for $202,000!
But did he do the right thing?
How good of a deal did Bryan make? He picks 12 next... $500
gone. The bank offer would have been... "D'oh!" $300,000. In
Bryan's case...
A terrific deal! Aubrie had
the $500,000. The toast of Brunswick, GA, tonight, is Mayor
Thompson, who turned $50,000 into $202,000.
But we still have time left on
the clock, so let's shuffle the money, light up the board, and
play again... Next on Howie's list is... Cathy Hamm!
Cathy is a flight attendant from
Dallas and is referred to as "The Spam Queen"... The canned
type, not the e-mail type. She won the National Grand Spam
Recipe Contest. Maybe she'll take away some money in our own
aluminum casings.. maybe $1 million worth of Spam, eh?
She picks 11, which Katie brings
down.
And then opens six...
Case 7
(Sara) |

Then Howie knocks Katie's case
down... needs to be in the overhead... |
