The carpenter from Town Hall, MA
considers himself "unlucky." If you remember, Jason picked #2.
No one - not Howie, not Jason, not even the models - knows which
case contains what. Now back to the action... Jason now has to
open five cases.

Chrissy (his girlf.. oh, fiancée!), Mark (his buddy), and Pat
(his bartender) - "and God does he need my help right now." They
don't think that his luck is that bad right now, as Jason says
"No deal". Now there's four to go...

Howie's thinking that he turned a
corner, calling him Mr. Lucky. To the helpers... Chrissy still
thinks he's unlucky, as she recalls a time when he backed into a
phone pole with a rental car. "I think his luck is changing."
Deal or no deal? "No deal!" Now three to go.

"Chances are you're not going to
pick two numbers," Chrissy says. There's a 38% chance that Jason
is holding more than $300,000. Deal or no deal? "Howie, we're
gonna throw the fists again, no deal!" Now two to go.
Case 16 (Kim) |
Jason: Kim, one buck,
please! $5000 |
Case 25
(Angel) |
Chrissy: One dollar...

That's 11 in a row!
|
Jason's feeling "woozy". I
guarantee you he's not the only one. The banker rings again.
Howie thinks it's time to take the money and run... to a
commercial. After, Howie tells his mother. "Ooooh!" She says,
"$99,000."

From now on, one case is removed
per round. Howie asks him... and he says "No deal!" Now he's
getting greedy... The odds are 50/50 that he's got a giant
amount to open.
Case 12
(Lindsay) |
Howie: Show me $300.
$300 |
That's 12, as the banker rings
again... The banker thinks he's a liar. He said that he's
bluffing about the whole Mr. Unlucky jive. Jason quickly knocks
on wood...

"How many cabinets do you have to
build to make $162,000?" Deal or no deal? He closes the case,
saying "No deal!" One to go...
That's 13! We just jumped to a
75% chance that Jason's case holds $300,000 or more. Worst case
scenario, he wins $10,000. The banker rings again. "That's for
you, Howie!" "This is nuts. You got him right where you want
him."

Almost one quarter-mill. The
audience is going crazy, shouting "No deal!" The odds are not in
Jason's favor anymore, as Chrissy shouts, "Deal!" In the end...
Jason shuts the case. He just gave away a quarter-million... One
to go with 9, 11, and 22 remaining.
Case 9
(Claudia) |
$500,000 |
Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark.
The banker quickly dials in with his newest offer. Howie answers
it... right after the break. Now to the phone.

Things are turning... Is this the
time for Jason to quit? Deal... or no deal? "This is the
thing... I keep saying I don't want to be greedy. When that
$240,000 came and went, it hurt. I don't want to see the
$189,000 go." Howie goes to the audience, and they are split
50/50. No help at all... Howie opens the case.... "Deal!" That's
$189,000! He would've gone with 22 next.
Case 22 (Kristal) |
$300,000 |
... leaving $10,000 and $400,000.
Howie opens case #2... and he made a great deal. Jason had only
$10,000 this whole time! Now he goes home with $189,000!
Meanwhile, if you're playing along at home, #2 is the lucky
case.
Cases have been shuffled, as we
meet Amy Ditbrenner! She's originally from Salt Lake City, and a
mother of four kids. Amy picks out Patricia's #8. "Our family's
lucky number!" We'll see if it's lucky enough. Six to go...
