"Episode 30" - May
5
Last time, Cowboys superfan Randy
Smith and his magic hat took the banker for $100,000 when he
sold his $75,000 case. Not so lucky for Rebecca Van de Ven, who
sold her case, worth $5, for $9000. What will America's most
famous vault bestow upon a dealer today?
We find out as we start fresh with
ANCA TODERIC, originally from Transylvania, Romania. Hope she
doesn't take a bite out of the banker... literally.
She chooses lucky 7, and Sara
complies. She thinks that this time may be the million.
She predetermined what she wants
to pick at 5:30 in the morning... We start with six...

Five to go, as Anca elects to
play the game barefooted.

opera singer, you know. Will she comply? "Okay, guys. No deal!"

Anca tries to sneak off stage
with the case... Sarah cites three big numbers. This is a no
brainer. No deal. "I'm going to have to say deal... Just joking.
NO DEAL!"
One to go with a 50/50 shot at at
least $300,000, as Howie somehow puts this all on Dumitru's
head.
Anca chooses #24... but after the
break, Dumitru has a surprise for her... A puppy! Awww...
Dumitru calls it "Howie." And the puppy's a girl... "What a
pretty little girl Howie is."
Back to the game.
Case 24 (Nancy) |
"Escide..."
That's Romanian for "Open the case."
$10,000 |
Before Howie answers the phone,
Paul decides to serenade the banker... "Remember ladies, he's
single." Will it work?
No surprise, the banker isn't a
fan of opera. "All off a dumb list."

Paul says to follow her
instincts, while Sarah says one more time. There's a 60% chance
that Anca has at least $300,000, or she can take the $299,000
and be a bit off of that.
Classic last words: "I'm going to
become the contestant I hate. No deal."
Dumitru... "She should've taken
the deal, but I trust her instinct."
One more case.
Case 6
(Megan) |
"I'm getting a little
shaky." Again?

break, the banker dials in with this.

wants to get out now.
"All right. No deal."
One more case to open...
Case 26
(Lindsay C). |

The list isn't working now. The
banker will probably chuck the list, but offer this to Anca...

matters into her own hands...

was going so well! I want to finish my list, but I would never
forgive myself if I went home with a dollar. Deal." Deal for
$25,000.
Two cases left, Anca's and
Katie's. We open up Anca's to reveal...
A bum deal. Katie has $1. Anca
has $25,000 and a puppy. We'll count our losses and come back
fresh next time.
