He Made Me
Look Like Alice Cooper Last time, the teams arrived in Beijing ready to tackle some truly Olympian tasks. The sisters and the Adams continue their bitter rivalry, while Victor & Tammy continue having the advantage of language. Cara & Jaime are the first to see Phil, but Phil has a surprise... This is NOT the Pit Stop! MIDPOINT Cara & Jaime waste no time in getting the next clue from Phil...
Margie & Luke are the second to see Phil, but they've made up a lot of ground. Cara & Jaime are the first to arrive at the next clue.
Tammy & Victor are sent to the Street Mall as Kisha & Jen arrive at the drum tower. And they don't believe that they're still in the Race! Margie & Luke are the first to find a product-placement... err, a Travelocity Roaming Gnome.
Cara & Jaime also find a gnome, but will they be able to find a taxi? Victor can't believe he's carrying a purse and a doll. But they're doing so in first place! Cara & Jaime find a cabbie, but he doesn't feel much like talking after almost being jabbed by a gnome's hat. Victor & Tammy are the first to find the electric bikes, and as soon as Tammy knows how to work them, they're on their way. All four teams have their bikes, and Victor & Tammy find time to admire the military exercises. They don't admire them too long, because up next is a...
Victor decides to wait tables. Kisha & Jen play the opera, as do the remaining two teams. Victor turns to Tammy and says "If we can't do this task, Mom and Dad will kill us." Tammy takes the orders... Good Luck Fish, Vegetarian Noodles, Fried Chicken, New Taste Beef, and Golden Pork Spare Ribs. They end up ordering "Good Luck Squid". Kisha & Jen... are scary. Margie & Luke arrive at the same time as the sisters are getting made over. Awkward. Kisha & Jen want to do something to hinder them, but at the same time, they don't have to do much as once Margie says that the makeup is too much, Luke throws up his hands and quits. They're back in the hunt, though, after Margie learns to trust him. Victor & Tammy finish their orders. Now to service... and patronage has its merits...
Unlike the first U-turn of the course, this will not be blind. Whoever chooses to use the U-turn must post their own picture in addition to that of the team they choose to U-turn. Victor & Tammy weigh their option. Margie & Luke are the strongest. Cara &" Jaime are the most competitive. But in the end, they'd rather not get into a foot race with Kisha & Jen, so they elect to use the U-Turn on them. Tammy posts the picture with a note: "Sorry, I can't outrun you!!"
Cara & Jaime... get lost. They end up at the National Opera, not the Beijing Opera. Victor & Tammy find the clue box in the open air market..
Victor decides to do it... and eats it before they have a chance to fry it. Woops. Oh well, at least frying it makes it more palatable. Beetle larva proves to be very difficult to keep down. Cara & Jaime still can't find a taxi. They eventually find one and head back onto the Race course. A couple of grasshoppers and a starfish later, Victor is really wolfing down the Detour. Meanwhile, Margie & Luke make a wrong turn at Albuquerque and Cara & Jaime get all pwettied up (Hi, Jill). Victor finishes breakfast and gets a prize...
The teams continue to walk back and forth until they eventually run into each other. Turns out that it was in the Opera House all this time. Margie & Luke find the clue box. The U-Turn could be the decider. PIT STOP Victor & Tammy run into Phil... this time with a happy local. They are officially... Team #1! Not only are they going to be racing for a million dollars, but they will be doing so with a trip to the Galapagos Islands! Margie decides to partake upon the local cooking. Kisha & Jen return to the Opera House and find Wengchang Ge. That's not all they find...
It's back to the kitchen for the sisters. Speaking of, Margie gets to eatin'. Speaking of, Kisha & Jen order up "Monthly Use Taiwanese Chicken"... "Good Western Heads Lack Fish"... "Oil Comes Again to Please the Mouth"... "Good Doll Basket Drum"... and "Light Competition Red Dishes I've Played Before". Margie finishes lunch and heads to the Pit Stop... just as Kisha & Jen finally get their orders in. And Cara and Jaime... are still lost. They finally decide to retrace their steps at the opera. Kisha & Jen get to the Roadblock... and as Jen notes about her platter... "Hell naw, it doesn't take like chicken!" Jaime & Cara finally find what they were looking for, and Cara's busy licking her wounds. Meanwhile, Margie & Luke clock in at #2. Jen keeps eating (and drinking... pay attention. This is relevant). Cara & Jaime arrive and Cara decides to partake. Cara thinks she can overtake Jen because she keeps spitting out the exoskeletons and drinking the water. They finish, but they're trying to find a taxi. The good news is that they've found the taxi. The bad news... Jen has to pee. Cara & Jaime have a quicker time finding a taxi. Jen still has to pee... She heads to the porta-potties at the Bird's Nest as Cara & Jaime arrive. Will she finish in time to catch up to the cheerleaders? Nope. Jaime & Cara make it into the FINAL THREE... Not only are they in, but they have a chance to make history. After 13 seasons of the Amazing Race, Cara & Jaime could very well be the first all-female team to take the title. Seconds later, Kisha & Jen arrive in last place. They've been eliminated. And Jennifer feels as guilty as hell, saying that it's all on her. Kisha's not going to hold that against her. Both have been strong and competitive. They've grown as sisters and as people... but their journey ends here... so close to the finish line. Next week... it's time to come home.
