I'm Not
Wearing That Girl's Leotard! Last time, it was pies, Segways, and a little bit of divine intervention as the Racers headed toward Austria. One of the teams, Steve & Linda, couldn't cut either, and they were eliminated. Meanwhile, Margie & Luke teamed up with Cara & Jaime in a strategic alliance. Will it hold? The Race continues from... PIT STOP After the requisite 12-hour break (perhaps longer due to unforeseen circumstances), Victor & Tammy, who've been solid on the pass thus far, set off onto Leg 3...
Tammy thinks her brother is rather smart. Victor doesn't want to be wrong as he works on getting a flight out first. Turns out that he is dead on. And a nice easy stroll begins. Mel & Mike are next, talking about "School of Rock" and how it hasn't gone to his head. The Amandakris are next out the gate, followed by Margie & Luke. Victory for Victor & Tammy at the airport as Brad & Victoria head out, followed by Jaime & Cara. On the train, Amanda & Kris run into a nice local who books a flight to Bucharest for them. Nice. Brad & Victoria find another nice local to do the same. The final three teams make their way to the airport as the other teams arrive at the airport, while Victor & Tammy are already airborne. EARLY FLIGHT to BUCHAREST ... but their lead may be shortlived as Victor notes that they're experiencing some technical difficulties that force them back to Munich. Meanwhile... 4:45 FLIGHT to BUCHAREST Brad & Victoria's flight is delayed... but it arrives. 7:30 FLIGHT to BUCHAREST (via
Amsterdam) The rest of the teams meet up with Victor & Tammy, where they share their hardluck story, while Brad & Victoria hustle... just to miss their flight to Bucharest. It gets worse. Because of the fog, all the flights out have been cancelled until 9:15a tomorrow morning. 9:30 FLIGHT to BUCHAREST BUCHAREST, ROMANIA The first teams arrive and make their way to the gymnastics hall, where they come up on a....
The little Olympians in training show our teams what to do... and in their own leotards, no less. Amanda's the first to complete, so she's the first to read...
Margie & Luke are right behind them, followed by Mel & Mike. Meanwhile, Amanda & Kris look for the earliest train available... and it happens to be at 6:30 tomorrow morning. The rest of the teams (sans Brad & Victoria) arrive in Romania. It takes a while for Victor & Tammy to find the Sala Gymnastica, which leaves them bringing up the rear. Tammy, while on the balance beam, tries to think of ways to get back into the thick of the fight. Meanwhile, the rest of the teams are picking up where they left off... So much for that. And Victor... not helping. The teams arrive at the train station where Amanda & Kris are crashing. And speaking of crashing, Victor & Tammy are beginning to crash on top of each other. She has some good ideas, but because he's the big brother, he's too stubborn to listen to them. At 6:30 the next morning, the teams finally board the train to Transylvania. On the train, the cheerleaders talk with Luke to see if they can help him look for the church. Also, in the Netherlands, Brad & Victoria are on their way to Romania. Now it's a matter of get me to the church on time! First there... Amanda & Kris.
Looks like everyone not named Margie, Luke, Cara, or Jaime are headed to help out some gypsies. But the cheerleader's hack doesn't know his way around! Mel & Mike and Amanda & Kris start moving gypsy junk into a gypsy junk to move it elsewhere. As they learn the hard way, the task is physically demanding, and Mel's injury begins to act up again. Amanda & Kris' gypsy caravan is the first to leave the site, even as some of the belongings are falling out. Hey, as long as you get there, right? Victor & Tammy and Jodi & Christie make their way to the forest to look for coffins. While Jodi & Christie are folliwing arrows in Race colors, Victor & Tammy are following.... soemthing else. And the Cheerleader/Deaf Kid Alliance... still lost. But not for long. The Smiths and the Amandakris finish the Detour and get...
Back at the coffins, Margie & Luke are the first to get unlocking. But the chains are connected to keys to OTHER chains, so it's a bit cumbersome. Brad & Victoria complete the Roadblock. The Amandakris, on their way to the hotel, figure out that they're missing something... the all-important TRAVEL PACK! Everyone who's seen the last Race knows that that is your best friend and if you lose it... you're lost. Logically, Kris comes to the conclusion that someone stole it. And Victor is leading Tammy down a trail of red and white... Not good. Amandakris finally find their travel pack, and their on their way. PIT STOP Now it's a foot race between them running and the Smiths walking... Who'll Phil and the happy pan-flute-playing local receive first? It's MEL & MIKE! They win this leg of the Race and a trip to Costa Rica courtesy of Travelocity. To say that Mel is proud of Mike is an understatement. Meanwhile, the Amandakris is in at #2. Tammy starts to voice her opinion about what she thinks is right. And Victor can't tell Tammy when... or if... he's going to stop and think. While Brad & Victoria leave for Transylvania, Margie & Luke and Kisha & Jen finish the Detour. Tammy & Victor... still lost. Tammy says to turn around... so they do. Jodi & Christie pass the cheerleaders and head to the Pit Stop, but the cheerleaders are not far behind. Kisha & Jen clock in at #3, followed by Margie & Luke at #4. Victor FINALLY finds the arrows... and the coffin... and the keys. But they lost another key. Mark & Michael check in at fifth, followed by Christie & Jodi at sixth and Jaime & Cara at seventh. That leaves the other two teams. Victor finds the missing key, but now Brad & Victoria are closing in... Not close enough. Tammy & Victor are in at #8... Victor breaks down in tears because he knows that in order to be an effective team, you have to be a partnership of equals, not a big brother-little sister. Hopefully they can come back in the next leg. But what about Brad & Victoria? As dusk falls, they make it to the Pit Stop... but unfortunately, that's the end of the line for them. They understand and accept their differences, and this adventure will change how they view each other.
