She's a
Little Scared of Stick, but I Think She'll Be OK! Last time, the teams raced from Romania to Russia, where they ran into a house, a log jam, and another log jam. Meanwhile, the latest wrinkle in the Race, the Blind U-Turn, turned up to be a Waterloo for the Amandakris. Now seven teams remain. PIT STOP After the compulsory 12-hour-plus waiting period to fire off your clues, Christie & Jodi get the go ahead to... go ahead.
It's not a vacation for the Blondes, who see this as work. Kisha & Jen are only two minutes behind, as they struggle to stay in the pack. They team up with the blondes, who get to the station, only to find that the last train to Novosibirsk leaves at 10:26p. That means that every team will be on the same train. And sure enough, here comes every other team at 10:20p, ready to ride the train. The good news is that they're all housed in sleeper cars. Good night, Racers. The next morning, we arrive in... NOVOSIBIRSK, RUSSIA No one knows how, but Mel & Mike figure out that Margie & Luke were behind the Blind U-Turn. Meanwhile, Victor & Tammy have decided to cast off all alliances and get to where they're going. Speaking of, we all get to where they're going... except for Kisha & Jen, who miss their taxi by THIS much. Cara & Jaime do their best to help out Margie & Luke to get to the clue box. The others follow suit, while Mark & Michael just hope not to get hit. Cara & Jaime are the first to arrive at...
The Deaf Kid/Cheerleader alliance go plowing. Tammy & Victor join up. Mel & Mike decide to head to the Bride. The three-team alliance becomes one of two teams, as Victor & Tammy decide to ask a nearby local for directions and jet off. Twice. And Luke gives them the fist-shakey. Christie & Jodi look for a virginal Russian Bride... while Mark & Michael look for a plow. Kisha & Jen finally arrive and look for a bride. Mel & Mike are the first to the Detour, as they take their pretty looking bride to the church. Meanwhile, Victor learns the hard way how to drive stick... in snow. the teams arrive at the stadium, but they don't know which machine is the snowplow? Victor is the first one to drive, followed by Jaime. Christie & Jodi... get hit on. Again. Victor finally completes his pass, but now it's Tammy's turn. Same with Cara & Jaime. Margie has a bit of a trouble with it, but now it's Luke's turn. Christie & Jodi and Kisha & Jen pick up their respective brides and head to the church. Meanwhile, Victor & Tammy are the first to complete the Detour and get this for their efforts.
Jaime & Cara are next, followed by Margie & Luke, as Mark & Michael arrive. Mel & Mike find the churches, the grooms, and all of that for the next clue, all while Mark & Mcihael get their next clue and head on their way to the library. Christie & Jodi drive their bride to the wrong church. Kisha & Jen... can't drive stick. Margie & Luke direct Cara & Jaime to the library. Together, they get...
Luke's running. So is Cara. So is Tammy. All three come out on top, while Cara begins walking. Tammy passes Cara, but Luke is way out in front. Mel & Mike find the library, and Mike decides to run. It's Mark's turn to do this as well. Kisha & Jen find the church, and get to the library, as Christie & Jodi head in the same direction.... albeit in a cab. Eventually, though.. they start driving. Luke keeps on keeping on. Meanwhile, Victor, Margie, and Jaime make their way to... PIT STOP Who will be the first to greet Phil and his tiny dancer? (No, seriously, there's a tiny dancer, this isn't a phallic joke) It's... MARGIE & LUKE! They win a trip for two to St. Lucia. Somewhere warm and sunny. Nice. This is their second first-place finish. Meanwhile, here comes Tammy, as she & Victor clock in at #2. Cara strolls in and she & Jaime clock in at #3. Mike is running in his big Russian boots while Mark is getting a few looks from the locals. Back at the back of the pack, the roads continue to be slick. Kisha & Jen's car... stopped. Yikes. Luckily, it's not for long. As a reference, it's -4°C outside. Mike beats Mark to the opera house, and clock in at #4. Mark & Michael... get lost on their way to clock in at #5. Which leaves just Kisha & Jen (Jen running) and Christie & Jodi (Christie running... in her thong). Who will get to the opera house first? ... it's Kisha & Jen! They get #6. Which leaves just Christie & Jodi. While Jodi waits for Christie, she gets her finger attended to (she earlier jammed it in a doorway). But alas, they are the last team to arrive... ... the GOOD news is that this is one of TWO non-elimination legs. But in the next leg, they'll have to complete a Speed Bump. Will they be able to overcome the time difference and stay in the race? Stay tuned.
