Alright Guys, We're At War!
March 22

After a long train running to Novosibirsk, a few brides getting to the church on time, and a foot race in your undies, Margie & Luke are at the head of the pack, while Jodi & Christie are in the back. The good news: they're still in the Race. The BAD news... They're going to have a Speed Bump sometime in the course of tonight's events.

PIT STOP
NOVOSIBIRSK, RUSSIA
NOVOSIBIRSK OPERA THEATRE
0018 HOURS LOCAL TIME

Margie and the round-headed kid, who's since gotten dressed, were the first to arrive, so they're the first to take off with this...

ROUTE INFO
FLY TO THE PINK CITY IN INDIA!

Fly from the freezing climate of Siberia to the extreme heat of Jaipur, India! Dressed in all pink for royal visitors, it's known as the Pink City. Upon landing travel by taxi to the outskirts of the Dhula village, where you will find a sacred tree, Peepli Ka Pedh, and your next clue. You have $262 for this leg of the Race.

NOTE: On your way to the Pink City, you must connect through Moscow.

Luke says that he loves this arrangement. Margie does all the communicating, while Luke does all the strategizing.

Victor & Tammy are off and running not long after, as Victor notes that he's been playing the role of eldest son to the hilt, a commonality among Asian families.

Cara & Jaime are the third team to take off toward the airport, followed by Mel & Mike, and Mark & Michael.

(C-Note: and a special hello to all you NCAA fans who are just tuning in for Cold Case.)

Back at the airport, the teams are arranging for a 7a flight to Moscow en route to Jaipur.

Kisha & Jen are the next to hit the Race course, followed by Jodi & Christie. Remember, Jodi & Christie will have a Speed Bump to negotiate.

All teams are now flying to Jaipur via Moscow and New Delhi.

JAIPUR, INDIA
0700 LOCAL TIME

Now it's a race to the tree. Tammy & Victor are in the lead, followed by the Flying Blondes and the Super Stunt Brothers. Meanwhile, Mel & Mike have a change of heart when it's revealed that the cabbie doesn't know what he's doing. The only problem is that they can't retrieve their belongings from the trunk, so they're pretty much stuck.

Mel & Mike finally get their stuff and proper directions to Dhula village. And not a moment too soon, because Christie & Jodi just stopped for gas.

Margie & Luke are quick to note that the drive in India is very different. Mark & Michael note kids running around naked. Cara & Jamie note stray animals and run down buildings. It's enough to bring a tear to your eyes. It makes you realize how fortunate you and I are.

Tammy & Victor are the first to arrive at the tree, where they find a telephone and this message...

"Travel to Amber Fort, Gaura Parvati Parking."

Victor & Tammy pass the remaining teams as they head to the phone. Well, they're heading to a clue, but they didn't notice the phone or the clue on it.

Kisha & Jen, Jaime & Cara, and Margie & Luke get the clue and are on their way. Then come Mel & Mike and Mark & Michael. Jodi & Christie finally catch up, and now it's back on...

Victor & Tammy are the first to get...

ROADBLOCK
BE A MAHARAJAH'S CAREGIVER!

Working on the shadow of Amber Fort, you must care for one of India's most revered animals... the camel. Choose from the Maharajah's group of camels and using traditional tools, you must load enough food and water to satisfy your camel. When the food reaches the designated line and the water spills out of a hole in the trough, the camel master will give you your next clue.

Victor decides to take on this task. First, he uses the steel bucket for the feed... then discovers a straw hamper. That works better.

Mark & Michael are next, followed by the rest of the pack... sans Jodi & Christie.

Victor's the first to finish, and they get the next clue... And it's a good thing, because Tammy just tweaked her ankle.

ROUTE INFO
MAKE YOUR WAY TO JOHARI BAZAAR!

Make your way to Johari Bazaar and find the puppet store Ramniwas Ramgopal, where you'll find your next clue.

CAUTION! Speed Bump ahead!

Christie & Jodi arrive at the Roadblock as Kisha finishes with the water. Now it's onto the feed. Meanwhile, Mel continues to struggle with this very physical task. As for the feed, Kisha opts for the "stuff your shirt" technique. Mel's the only one to use the traditional basket after Victor & Tammy opt for it.

Speaking of which, here they are now at the bazaar, where they find...

DETOUR
MOVERS OR SHAKERS?

MOVERS: Travel to Sangadhiri Gate, where you will find a cycle rickshaw loaded high with barrels. Pedal 1.5 miles through the city to Zurawarsin Gate. Then look through your barrels for a tiny elephant. Trade your elephant in for your next clue.

SHAKERS: Travel to the middle of the city of Jaipur, where you will find a Rajistani dance troupe. Put on traditional costume and makeup and join them to shake your hips for tips. Once you have earned 100 rupees, exchange your cash for your next clue.

Victor & Tammy go dancing. They didnt' feel any discomfort at all and they end up finishing rather quickly.

Back at the Roadblock, it's a race to find the wicker baskets... that they keep walking past.

Victor & Tammy are still dancing.

Mel & Mike finish up and head to the bazaar. The rest of the teams follow suit.

Tammy & Victor finally have their rupees in order, and they buy this for them...

MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE PIT STOP!

Make your way to the next Pit Stop, Jaigarh Fort, a 15th century fortress in Jaipur, India.

WARNING! The last team to check in MAY BE ELIMINATED!

Mel & Mike dance their way to money. They note that while there is so much poverty, there is also so much festivity.

Mark & Michael move. Other teams... shake. This presents an issue with Luke, as he can't hear the music. He can only see what the others are doing and feel the vibrations.

Christie & Jodi make their way to the bazaar, but before they can continue, they must do this...

SPEED BUMP
CHRISTIE & JODI:

Make your way to the Kalahanuman Temple, where you will have to perform an Indian tradition, using colored paint to decorate an elephant for an upcoming festival. Once you have decorated the elephant to his master's satisfaction, you will be allowed to continue on the Race course in hopes of making up for this lost time.

Meanwhile, the rest of the teams shake what their momma gave them... except for Mark & Michael, who are pedaling as hard as they can.

PIT STOP
JAIPUR, INDIA
JAIGARH FORT

Victor & Tammy can let out a giant "Jai ho!" as they're welcomed by Phil and the happy local as Team #1! For their hard work, they've won... an ocean kayak!

Mel & Mike are the second to finish the Detour.

Christie finishes up the Speed Bump as she thinks about her daughter.

Jaime & Cara are the third to finish up, but they can't find their taxi!

Jodi & Christie are done painting, so they get this...

ROUTE INFO
YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY GONE OVER YOUR SPEED BUMP!

Make your way back to Johari Bazaar and continue with the Race.

Margie & Luke finish up and help Cara & Jaime look for their cab... which they eventually find.

Jodi & Christie decide to shake it up as Kisha & Jen finish up.

Meanwhile, Mark & Michael are looking for a tiny metal elephant.

As the teams try and collect rupees, Mel & Mike head up the fort and punch in as team #2.

The search for the cab ends up hurting the Deaf Kid/Hot Cheerleader Alliance, as Kisha & Jen are allowed to catc up and clock in as team #3, followed Margie & Luke and Cara & Jaime respectively.

That leaves Michael & Mark, who have found their tiny elephant, and Jodi & Christie, who've found R100. Now it's a classic race to see who'll make it to the fort first....

... and it's Mark & Michael! They get sixth place, but Jodi & Christie get the shoe. They're the last team to arrive again... and in case you're holding out for a miracle... you can stop right there. This is the end of the line for you.

The good news is that they did get something out of this race, namely a pair of motorcycles and a renewed bond that will not wither any time soon.
