Episode 3.10 - Screw You, Banana
July 22

Another 24 contestants are going to fall headlong into the most excruciating obstacle course ever devised for a game show. There'll be spills, chills, thrills, and a $50,000 payday... But mostly the first two.

THE WIPEOUT QUALIFIER

Tonight, the Qualifier consists of...

- The Hoop Run: jumping through hoops is made even more difficult by the fact that they're rotating.
- The Sucker Punch: one wall, multiple punching gloves, a world of hurt.
- The Big Balls: Launching Motivator is back in full force.
- The Trampoline Sweeper: tramps.... Sweepers. Two great tastes that taste great together.
- The Fling Set: Watch the arms as you make your way to the exit.

Michael White wants to win the $50,000 so he can buy breast reduction surgery... for himself. Manboobs Michael gets manhandled by the course. Up... over... and down, coming in with a time of 4:29, collapsing under the weight of... expectations.

Walt Arnold is 23 and a new father. He finds new motivation in his new role... and from the Motivator.

Danielle comes from Bahston. This is wicked hahd for her, as the Beantowner gets beaned. Alex Davi needs a motivator. There you go, Alex. And she's not the only one who gets helped by our hidden helper.

Jesse Phillips is an old-timey strongman... or at least he has the moustache for it.

Next up, girl power powers Jacquelynn Escalante, who has a lot of "stuff hiding inside."  The girl power is out of control and not really helping her out that darn much. William Steglau comes from a long line of Russian nobility... but he's seeing tsars. Carrie Kiker works at the complaint department at the Burbank airport. Do you call to lodge a complaint or to hear one? Because Carrie's full of them. She logs a time of 4:29, like Moobs.

David Hutchison got a tramp stamp at 17... then covered it up with a BIGGER tramp stamp. He sticks the landing at the Trampoline Sweeper. The Fling Set... not so much. Bree Bailey forgot the National Anthem once. And she forgets it again. All-American Girl has one last fall on the Fling Set... and there it is. She comes in at 3:58... a winning time.

Because America loves a winner.

ADVANCING TO ROUND 2
Bree "All American Girl" Bailey
Michael "Moobs" White
John Di Saia
Samantha Curtin
Danielle "Boston Babe" Jones
Jesse "The Strong Man" Phillips
Jacquelynn "Girl Power" Escalante
William "Russian Aristocrat" Steglau
Jodi Tanaka
"Complaints" Carrie Kiker
Ashley Bello
David "Girly Tats" Hutchison

Safe bet that John, Jodi, Samantha, and Ashley don't get any further than...

THE OVERDRIVE

It's a giant steering wheel with sweepers and windshield wipers. Contestants start on the green pad, maneuvering through the sweepers onto the red pad, then landing on the red platform via one of three obstacles. If they get knocked off, they go to the start and try again. The first six will move on.

And no one is moving... until someone says "GO!" Then Carrie and Jesse get smacked. Boston Babe goes back to Southie, while American Girl gets bye-bye Miss American Pie.

First one to make it to the next round is David, followed by... not Moobs. It's Carrie. Bree cuts strongman out to make it three. Danielle makes her Marky Mark on the Overdrive and joins the funky bunch in the next stage. Moobs makes it five. And Strongman makes it six.

Bigfoot Hunter Josh is the first on the banana to make it to the next stage. Second on the banana... and off, Andrea. Third is Caroline... and she's the birdwoman of Alcatraz. Followed by the Dude... the Dude Abides! Next up is Can Man Randy, Inchworm Karalyn, and ... the world's greatest dad with the world's greatest bounce.

CONSTRUCTION ZONE

Four stages on this course...

- The Building Blocks
- The Hazard Zone
- The Wall to Wall Carpet Run
- The Bouncing Bolts

All the while, they'll have to dodge a manhole AND two sweepers AND a forklift claw AND two surly and one girly construction workers throwing stuff. Four fastest are Zone Bound.

Oh, did we mention that there's a concrete dump?

Bree: 3:11.79
Danielle: 5:28.57
Jesse: 7:08.37

Bree is automatically forward to the Zone.

Carrie: 4:33.13 - MOVING ON
Michael: 3:20.74 - MOVING ON

That puts Danielle on the bubble.

David: 5:20.60 - MOVING ON!

THE WIPEOUT ZONE

Rebuilt from the ground up is the world's most dangerous obstacle course... the Wipeout Zone! Tonight...

- The Catapult
- The Spin Cycle: A vertical foam filled drum that they'll have to navigate to get to...
- The Triple Threat: Two big sweepers... then one small one... lather, rinse, repeat.
- The Rib Rage: run as far as you can as fast as you can to get to ...
- The Gauntlet: spiked whackers and arms & dangerous separate one person from $50,000. Fastest wins.

Bree is up first. She had a star-mangled day at Santa Clarita. She shoots across the sky like a rocket with its red glare. She flipped into the water from the first try on the Spin Cycle and the Triple Threat. At 8:56 she's at the Rib Rage. She clocks in at 14:18.

Michael "Moobs" White is next. He misses the Spin Cycle platform three times... and HE'S DONE.

First up from the other two, Girly Tats David Hutchison. He's been a driving force this whole competition. He's using the Spin Cycle for leverage, and he crosses at one time. Seven down, seven to go as he approaches the Gauntlet. The time... 12:59!

That's the mark for Carrie Kiker to beat. She's at 7:04 when she approaches the Gauntlet. She has five minutes to finish. She only needs two. CARRIE KIKER JUST WON THE TITLE OF WIPEOUT CHAMPION and the $50,000 that go with. Crown her!

Back on Tuesdays only next week. Until then, goodnight... and Big Balls.
