Aggro Bowl I
September 27

Where 12 families once stood high and mighty, now only three remain. At stake, an extreme sports family vacation and the FINAL piece of our radical rock. Family bonds may hold them together, but only GUTS will take the day.

Here are our teams for AggroBowl I...

CYCLONE JONES
(Matt, Brock, Kevin, Kali)
GAHRES G-DOGS
(Donald, Cathy, John Mark, John)
HOWLIN' HOWELLS
(Annie, Morgan, Marty, Alex)

Facing our teams tonight are four extreme events and the two families with the most points will face the legendary Aggro Crag once more for all the guts, all the glory, and all the prizes...

Our first event actually is so big.. it had to be taken to the streets of Universal Orlando... It's...

Event 1: GUTS GRAND PRIX

It's a stroll through the simulated streets of New York City on high steppers and low riders as our teams will have to go down Broadway, Delancey, 7th, and through cobblestone backalleys on their way to the finish line. Fastest time through the city gets the most points. It's a two-player relay with Annie in the high stepper and Marty in the low-rider for the Howells. The Jones have Matt in the low rider and Brock high-stepping. Gahres will pit John Mark in the low-rider and Donald on the high-stepper.

First place bets 100, second 75, and third 50.

... and the AggroBowl is officially on! Cyclone Jones is the first team to cross the finish first to send Brock high-stepping through the big city. It's going to be a race for second as Brock high-steps to victory. Howlin' Howells take second for 75, and the G-Dogs bring up the rear for 50. The Jones lead after one with 100.

Brock's got a mohawk. He's crazy.

Event 2: MILE HIGH TRIPLE JUMP

It's the long jump... It's the high jump... It's the double jump. We're jumpin' like crazy here! They'll get 10 each for the hurdles and the high jump, as well as for each foot they clear in the vert. Most points wins.

And in a battle amongst David and the two Goliaths, it's Kevin vs. Annie vs. John Mark. Annie doesn't clear one hurdle, but gets three feet up for a total of 50.

Next up, John Mark is taking in his own time, his own stride, but he's knocking down everything in sight. He'll need a great showing in the vert to make up for it. He ends up with 10 on the hurdles. That's it. Nice backflip on the start, though.

Finally, Kevin with the eye of the tiger. He clears all of that hurdle, but now he needs to continue making the pace. And holy cow he got all of that in the vert jump. Total pointage: 90! So the Cyclone Jones go into halftime, 190 to the Howells' 125 and the Gahres' 60.

Event 3: FREE RUN CITY: WILD SIDE

Remember when Free Run City was pretty cool? This makes that parquet-style course look a little tame by comparison. First up, player 1 gets to play in the construction site. Second player gets a water-tower that now has steam pipes and valves and other obstacles. Player 3 goes skywalking with fewer catwalk swings. Final player needs to stick the landing at the manhole in the Drop Zone. And the faster your time, the more you score.

Cyclone Jones drew to go first with Matt, Brock, Kevin, and finally Kali in the Drop Zone. Matt's jump is a lot longer than in the prelims, but he makes short work of it. Kali nails the landing and gives us a final time of :53 for 187 points!

Next up are the Howlin' Howells with Annie, Alex, Marty in the Sky Bridge, and Morgan brings it home in the Drop Zone. Annie makes short work of the wedges, but Alex is taking his time at the water tower. He needs to pick up the pace. He ended up using the maximum of 45 points. Their final time... 1:17 for 163.

Finally are the Gahres G-Dogs with John starting it up, then John Mark, Big Donald, and Cathy bringing it home. Time to beat is still :53. John gets SMACKED by the wedges. John Mark flies around the water tower like nothing. Cathy nails the landing for a final time of... 1 minute flat for 180!

This is turning into an old habit for the Cyclone Jones as they take this round and hold their lead with 377 to the Howells' 288 and the Gahres' 240.

Event 4: ALLEY HOOP

It's a case of Shaq and Kobe... and not in the good way as our intrepid teams will work to alley-oop score as many basketball goals as possible in 90 seconds. Matt, Marty, and Donald will dish the pick, while Mohawk Brock, Alex, and John will jam it home. Most slams win the event.

And the points are more important than ever in this event because the family with the least amount of points after this one will be sent home. And it's all about the Cyclone Jones who take no prisoners in this event throwing it down like no one's business.

Final tally... Howells 4 for 40, Gahres get 7 for 70... but the Joneses... try and keep up with 'em.. 16 for 160!

The leaderboard going into the Crag is as follows...

CYCLONE JONES - 100 - 90 - 187 - 160 = 537
HOWLIN' HOWELLS - 75 - 50 - 163 - 40 = 328
GAHRES G-DOGS - 50 - 10 - 180 - 70 = 310

Unfortunately for the G-Dogs, it's the end of the line for them. Amazing run to the final, but this family just didn't have enough of it to continue... But their bad news is GOOD news for the Cyclone Jones and the Howlin' Howells as they prepare themselves physically, mentally, and morally to conquer...

Final Event: AGGROCRAG

The Crag calls all players through the Aggro-Bowl. A lot of surprises await as we set up the semi-final evolution of the radical rock. The goal remains the same... Get to Crystal Peak... and claim the rock as your own. But this round will prove to be anything but a given, because players will have the opportunity to control the rock slides, the snow, the sleet, the water, the fog, the fury, the torrential attitude of the Aggro-Crag... Things are about to get all hectic up in this.

Matchups are as follows. Kali takes on Morgan in the Mesas, Matt goes up against Marty on the Switchbacks, Mohawk Brock will face Alex in the Caverns, and Kevin and Annie will take it up the Vertical Freeze to finish the race to the summit.

The maximum allowable headstart is 10 seconds. The Cyclone Jones will have that due to their 109 point lead. And as always the first team to the summit gets the trophy, the vacation, and... ha HA... THE BRAGGING RIGHTS!

Kali gets it started and finished before the Howells can even start! From there on, it's all the Cyclone Jones as like a man possessed Kevin hammers the points home for victory!

The CYCLONE JONES, your first Aggro-Bowl CHAMPIONS!

As they take a final victory lap around the Extreme Arena, the Crag falls silent until the next group of brave... or perhaps foolhardy... families ready, willing, and able to brave the elements. Until then, no ifs, ands, or buts, MY FAMILY'S GOT GUTS!
