All U
Can Eat Stakes
June 2
With the game close to the end, Jenn and
Ryan wonder if it's their time to face the Exile. Landon and Carley
try to win the next challenge to stave off going into Exile again. And
the remaining five teams battle it out in the last regular challenge,
in order to secure spots in the finale.
Near the end of last week's show, Kenny's now dominant alliance pitted
Wes' former allies against each other. They put Landon and Carley up
against Ev and Luke in the first-ever nighttime Exile, Weight for Me:
Blackout.
Carley and Landon had jumped out to an early lead until she wore
herself out. Ev and Luke were desperate for time, so they skipped the
last puzzle to get to the finish. However, they've been given a
five-minute time penalty while Landon and Carley complete their third
puzzle for a five-minute credit.
Landon is worried that Carley will collapse and not get back up as her
body is starved of oxygen. They remove all of the weight from their
buckets and cross the finish line. In the end, Ev and Luke's decision
to bypass the third puzzle proved to have cost them dearly. Landon and
Carley win this Exile by two minutes and 14 seconds.
Ev is crushed by the result and takes her Exile loss out on Luke. But
the blame should really go to Ev for not listening to Luke on
completing the third puzzle. Luke did have an amazing time in
Whistler, British Columbia and he'll never forget it. Although TJ can
rip on Ev all he wants, but point blank, she still blames Luke for her
loss. And as Luke and Ev leave for home, host T.J. says that he's
never seen a four-year-old on this show before. Truer words were never
spoken, T.J.
Ryan and Jenn decide to have a pow-wow, just to set in stone how the
next deliberations are going to go. Clearly one of the teams in
Kenny's alliance will be going into Exile, and they don't know if it's
Jenn or Ryan. Kenny hasn't seen sportsmanship like that in a long
time, probably even ever.
Landon and Carley are back at homebase, which makes Ryan terrified
that he and Theresa could be going against them in the Exile. Jenn
tells Landon that he's going in and there's nothing he can do about
it. Now he has to get his head around at the fact that he'll be going
into Exile. Landon is extremely nervous about Carley's performance and
doesn't know how she's going to do if they have to go in and do the
same thing again. The rest of the players begin to respect Carley as
she has done a lot of things in this game.
Here is the players' next clue...
You only have one more obstacle to complete before the Final
Challenge. Be ready to leave by 11am - TJ
After Landon, Ryan, and Jenn, plot on how to avoid the Exile. Noor
starts to have very short breaths leaving him almost panicking. He has
asthma and has to use a machine to help him breathe. Noor's condition
could react badly in cold weather, and this becomes an issue that
makes Jenn nervous about how he's going to do the rest of the game.
Challenge #9: Obstacle
Each team will negotiate these 10 obstacles on their way to the finish
line...
Sprint - 800 yd. sprint
Tree Climb - Climb up the tree to the top, ring the bell and drop down
to the ground.
Bridge the Gap - Placing your hands on one beam and your feet on the
other, side step across the designated line.
Nothing But Net - Crawl facedown under the cargo net from one end to
the other.
Spider Web - Cross through the web from start to finish.
Monkey Time - Traverse across the bars from start to finish.
Wood Chuck - Restack the tree stumps from one designated area to the
other.
Wall Brawl - Punch and kick your way through the two wall panels.
Defender - Run through the mud pit and past your defender (a player on
another team from the same sex) in order to cross the finish line.
The team who clocks in the fastest time wins this challenge and are
safe from possible elimination. However, since this is the last
regular challenge, the three teams who finish in the fastest time will
automatically get spots in the finals. The other two teams will
automatically go into the Exile for that last remaining spot.
After all of the teams have completed the longest obstacle course in
the history of the Challenge. Kenny and Laurel take first place, and
they each win a watch. Landon and Carley finish in 2nd place, and they
join them in the finals. 3rd and 4th place was only separated by two
seconds. Jillian and Pete's time of 34 minutes and 15 seconds get them
a berth in the finals. This leaves the 4th place team of Jenn and Noor
to compete against Ryan and Theresa in the last Exile.
We'll find out who'll be the last team sent packing and who'll compete
for a cash prize pool of $300,000 next week.
