Sibling Rivalry II
December 2

On a previous episode of Destroy Build Destroy, younger siblings went face to face against their older siblings in a two-ton smash up. That contest went to the older siblings. But today is a new day, and the youngers are going against the olders again to even up the score.
OLDER SIBLINGS
James, 13
Ashley, 16
Joseph, 15
YOUNGER SIBLINGS
Nicole, 12
Jimmy, 13
Chris, 12

Tonight, the teams will build human-powered 18-wheelers. They must also have 15-foot trailers. They're going to use two pick-up trucks (and the load they're carrying). Three destroy options...

- TNT: Boom time.
- WRECKING BALL: Or should we say, wrecking truck
- DESTROYERS: They're just aching for it.

The youngers go with... The Destroyers. Three... two... one... DESTROY! And destroy they do.

The olders go with the Wrecking Ball... Three... two... one... DESTROY! And that... does plenty of nothing.

Now to build 18-wheelers. You have wreckage. You have extras. You have a chance at $3000. Good luck to both teams... Three... two... one... BUILD!

Joseph anoints himself leader of the olders, while the youngers are more team-oriented. Their plan consists of 18 wheels... duh... and metal clips affixing rope walls so it'll be lightweight. There will also be some extra storage space. Ashley was going to design the group's vehicle... when Joseph decided to take the reigns. And her pen. Not cool, dude. Their... errm, HIS design has eight wheels in the front and 10 in the back for stability. The sides on the trailer will be really high. He knows his ideas are going to win, so frankly, he doesn't care what his teammates think.

Setback Challenge: Down & Dirty Limbo

It's like limbo, but you're going DOWN TO THE GROUND low. The only way you're going to pass this challenge is if you get down and dig your way under. First team to do that through all four poles wins the setback. By the way, you're going to carry something that the other team will choose for you. The Olders choose a fire extinguisher, while the Youngers choose the rescue mannequin.

Ashley gets stuck for the olders, but the youngers are just boom boom boom, all the way. Ashley is kicking Pete the Mannequin through... but it's too late. The Youngers win the setback. Their options...

- Gravel Dump
- Handcuffs for 15 minutes

This isn't even a choice. Handcuffs it is! Talk about a chain gang. Being handcuffed is bad enough, but being handcuffed to Joseph was torture. But in the end, it feels like group therapy as the team decides to come together as a team and work as such.

And the build is over. Let's see what we have.

YOUNGERS: The Patriot. They have lower walls than their competition, meaning they can carry less, but they'll be able to load and unload their boxes quickly.
OLDERS: The Beast. It has a more stable design, but will high walls mean a slow loading and unloading compared to their opponents?

Now to race these bad boys. They'll load boxes onto their 18 wheelers and carry them to the other side of the course. Then they'll circle back and do it again. The team that transports the most boxes in 15 minutes wins $3000, weeks of bragging rights, and the right to add insult to injury by destroying their opponents' build!

Three.. two... one... GO!

The lower walls seem like they're enabling the youngers to carry less and move quickly. The olders are getting tired lugging around their bigger build. But they're loading a huge load.

And that's time. Time to count the boxes. Youngers... 53 boxes. Olders... 60 boxes! OLDERS WIN AGAIN! They get $3000, they learn how to get on as a team... Oh yeah, and there's a little matter of the Youngers' 18-Wheeler.

- Racing fuel
- Pumpkin bomb

They go with the flaming pumpkin and the trebuchet...

So until next week... three... two... one.... DESTROY!
