Tonight, it's the return of one of our favorite summer series, as Andrew sets up another two teams with enough firepower to destroy... the build... then destroy again!
 

FOOTBALL TEAM Ricky Scooter Alfred

MARCHING BAND Dave (16, drummer) Karen (16, flautist) Ryan (16, trumpeter)

Tonight, the teams will be racing go-karts, but they'll have to also negotiate the lagoons using makeshift car ferries. They'll have to be able to load, support, and unload the 250 pound vessels. So what will they use to make these ferries? Glad you asked. They'll use the wreckage they create by destroying school buses!

Each team will destroy the other's pickup, so there is strategy coming into play by making it harder for the other team to salvage wreckage. The first Destroy options...

- An authentic WWII Howitzer
- Drop it off the cliff
- Destroy Build Destroy's angry house wreckers... and they haven't destroyed anything since the summer, the Destroyers.

The bank drops the footballers' bus off of a cliff, while the footballers unleash the howitzer.

And it's time to... Ah-ooo, ah-ooo, ah-ooo... DESTROY!

Now comes the fun bit... Remember, there are builders, wreckage, and other junk. Winners get $1000 each and the chance to send their opponents to the scrapheap for good. It's a good feeling.

That said, good luck to both teams... Three... two... one... BUILD!

The footballers are going to be a unit. They come up with two ramps, foam for flotation, and something to support the build.

The marching band are going light with two gates that will be attached to a handrail. Foam and barrels will do the job.

SETBACK CHALLENGE: Human Bowling

Slip'n'slide... Ramp... Pins. Each strike will be worth 30. Each spare is worth 20. Each pin is worth one. It's all about technique... As Gordon would say at a time like this... be the ball.

Ricky scores a spare for 20, helping them to a lead of 51-25. The band needs a strike to win. Dave of the band... PULLS IT OFF! 55 for them. Footballers need 5 to win. Alfred... no pressure. He scores... 8 for the 59-51 win.

Now the footballers get to cause some hurt to the band's rig. Will they use... sand... or mittens of madness (15 minutes of building with gloves on). They go with... mittens. Fun. It's going to take a lot of teamwork and a lot of backbones to continue their build with that.

The band finishes their build and has time to test their rig... and it's so light that it literally gets picked up by the wind. They need something that will keep that from happening again.

And... TIME! Let's see what you have...

It's time for the final land-water race. First, the transports will row the kart along the lagoon, then the kart will race back to the start while the paddlers will paddle back to meet them. First team to complete three laps wins $3000!

Ready... Set... GO!

First lap, the band gets lost, while the footballers release the wrong ramp! That will hurt them. It's a close race all around... Fatigue is beginning to set in. No one wants to give up an inch. Who's got the determination? Who's got the speed? Who's got the strength? We're in the final lap! It's going to come down to inches...

And the winner... is... FOOTBALL TEAM! So it's time for the Phantoms to take the Bulldogs to get their final neuter... But how will it happen? Will it be the briefcase of explosives? Will it be a bomb drop?

It's going to be ... the bomb drop.

So while the marching band plays "Taps" for their machine... Football team, it is yours!...

"Ah-ooo, ah-ooo, ah-ooo... DESTROY!"
