Episode 6.9 - Big Balls of the Caribbean

We have a course... we have $50,000. We might as well have some fun with 24 contestants looking to make complete asses of themselves on TV.

THE WIPEOUT QUALIFIER

Tonight, our 12 teams will have to face... 

- Squashbuckler: cannon fires and a pirate wench!
- Failboxes: Guarded by the honey badgers
- The Big Balls: Hammer Motivator and Ballsy's Bonus in play. Anyone who knocks DJ Smallsy Smalls off his perch on the fourth ball will win $500.
- Trippity Skippity Flippity Do: ... It's complicated.
- Backyard Barbecue: our players are going to get grilled.

The 12 with the fastest times will be the "wieners" of this round and move into the next.

Contestants have to ride a platform from one side to the other while dodging spinning arms. First six to make dry land move on.

WIPEOUT'S GREATEST HITS

Crowdsurf into the Percussion Section, then ride the Drumsticks to the Keyboards, and through the Swinging Axe, all the while dodging props from our punk rockers. The first three across get an encore performance in the Wipeout Zone.

THE WIPEOUT ZONE

That man says 50 grand. We say...

- The Scare Chair. Launching 30 feet into the night sky.
- The Blockbuster. They twist and turn, but the objective is the same: go from one end to the other. It is SO difficult that after one try, players can opt for a time penalty instead of trying again.
- The Space Pod of Doom. It spins outward AND inward. Land on a narrow finish platform and arrive at...
- The Bounder Pounders. A pair of rotating trampolines.

As always, the fastest wins $50,000.

First is the tiggeriffic Tiger Beast. Tony Bolano was the first to finish Octopushy. Otherwise, he was grrrrrreat! in the other two rounds.

TONY: 8:08.74 ... GrrrrrRRRRREAT!

Shelley Keller "twi-lit" up the Qualifier, but barely escaped the next two rounds. And while Tony is puking his lights out, Shelley's lighting up.

SHELLEY: 5:04.44

That leaves Jeremy Roemer to do the Lone Star State proud. He got messed with in the Qualifier and Octopushy, but can he ride a Greatest Hits victory to a big win in the Zone?

JEREMY: 4:26.03! MR. TEXAS IS MR. WIPEOUT! PAY THAT MAN HIS MONEY!
