Episode
4.14 - Spring Wipeout: Dirty Laundry
May 12
There's an old Buddhist saying... "Winter
never fails to turn into spring." We had the winter of our discontent
for the last eight episodes... But today, here comes the sun! Get ready
for SPRING WIPEOUT!
THE QUALIFIER
Tonight, the Qualifier consists of...
- The Faulty Bridge.. With sweepers and
breakaway boards, it's custom made to ford the troubled water. Or not.
- The Twister Mill... windmill you don't want to cross.
- The Big Balls... Now with a new SPRING-ovator conveyor belt. No spring
there, though. Plenty of spring on the Balls, though.
- The Spring Fling... A small ball bounces over to the giant swing going in the wrong direction.
- The Wipeout Laundromat... The kitchen is closed, and the laundry is
open. Kick'em when they're up, kick'em when they're down.
The 24 spring breakers will take on the course, and the
12 with the fastest times will advance to stage 2.

THE SCARE-OUSEL
What's a spring fling without a carnival
classic? Contestants will start on the red track, grab a red dangler,
and make it to a red spot that leads to a yellow dangler and do the same
thing with a yellow dangler. If they wipeout before the spot, they'll
have to go back to the start, but the first six to avoid the sweeper
arms and make it to the finish target move on to the next stage.

THE SPRING WIPEOUT ZONE
Back and with a spring fresh smell, it's
the toughest of the courses, the Spring Wipeout Zone! Tonight's
lineup...
- The Chairborne: a rocket chair will
launch our players into the Zone.
- The Over and Out: two rotating cliffhangers with floors on both the
top and the bottom... but the bottom... or is it the top... has a hole.
- The Point Break: climb up one end, then time the slide down to the
other.
- The Coin Toss: heads or tails, it adds up to eight spinning platforms
on to the finish.
Fifty large goes to the quickest time.
First up, the lazy bum Jessica Sapinoso.
She uses the wedge, but to no avail. Three minutes in, and she's up to
Point Break. She doesn't quit, even though you can tell she wants to,
having never worked THIS hard for cash before, setting a time of 10:17.
Next up, a Ragin' Cajun with a head full
of steam. William Davis gets to take the Zone next. He's running a
minute on the leader thanks to his performance in the Over and Out. Now
he's two minutes on the leader heading to the Coin Toss, setting a final
time of 5:20.
Tough time to beat, but not impossible.
Will almost Amish Caitlin Avery win the day? She gets hit by balls in
the Over and Out, but she's taking time to make time. She has one minute
to pass the Point Break and the Coin Toss. She times the slide right,
now she has less than a minute to go on the Coin Toss...Nope on the
first. She'll try again, but she's too late. WILLIAM DAVIS JR. TAKES THE
BIG MONEY AND THE TITLE. THIS IS WHAT WE CAME TO DO!
Next time, we finish out the spring with
everyone's favorite... Couples Wipeout! Until then, good night... and
big balls.
