4.11 - Spring Wipeout: John Henson, Zombie Hunter There's an old Buddhist saying... "Winter never fails to turn into spring." We had the winter of our discontent for the last eight episodes... But today, here comes the sun! Get ready for SPRING WIPEOUT! THE QUALIFIER Tonight, the Qualifier consists of... - The Scarecase... Not since the Icy
Stairway from Hell has a stationary escalator been made to be so painful The 24 spring breakers will take on the course, and the 12 with the fastest times will advance to stage 2. ADVANCING TO ROUND 2 THE SCARE-OUSEL What's a spring fling without a carnival classic? Contestants will start on the red track, grab a red dangler, and make it to a red spot that leads to a yellow dangler and do the same thing with a yellow dangler. If they wipeout before the spot, they'll have to go back to the start, but the first six to avoid the sweeper arms and make it to the finish target move on to the next stage. ADVANCING TO ROUND 3 But because of a medical situation, Mario
will not be participating in Stage 3... Taking his place... THE WIPEOUT COLOSSEUM The cafe is closed, and in its place... a battle arena! Each of the three rounds will start with a spin around the Dizzy Dummy. First up, players will have to dive off of the Springboards onto a rotating platform and a bouncing box. Then it's onto the Crankshaft, the Knee Sweeper, and the Spinning Platform onto the finish. Wipeout at the Crankshaft or the Knee Sweeper, and you can start back there. And here to help out the wipeouts are a couple of really really REALLY angry Romans. ADVANCING TO THE WIPEOUT ZONE THE SPRING WIPEOUT ZONE Back and with a spring fresh smell, it's the toughest of the courses, the Spring Wipeout Zone! Tonight's lineup... - The Spring Shot Fifty large goes to the quickest time. First up, Caryn Ayala has no grip on the Over and Out. It's become the Over and Over and OVER and Out for her. She finally gets it after three. It takes her four minutes to get through the Point Break and another three to pass the Coin Toss. The time: 13:54. Skip Dickinson literally sidesteps the side of the Coins in the Coin Toss to log in a time of 6:39. He could very well take the cash tonight. Can Claire Voisine fix that? Claire lucks out on the Over and Out. She has one minute to cross the Coin Toss. It only takes but seconds... she doesn't have many of them, though. She goes to crawl on the Coin Toss... and gets HAMMERED. That's time, and THAT'S $50,000 FOR SKIP DICKINSON, GIVING LAB RATS A GOOD NAME EVERYWHERE! We'll spring 24 more people onto the course for $50,000 next time. Until then, good night... and big balls.
