Episode 4.4 - Winter Wipeout: Hockey Pucks & Bieber Fever
February 3

America's favorite obstacle course has just been winterized, and 'tis the season to be freezin'. On our course today, ice slicked spills, frosbitten falls, and bone-chilling tumbles...

THE WINTER WONDERLAND QUALIFIER

Tonight, the Qualifier consists of...

- The Gingerbread House. It'll hit you in the sweet spot.
- The Big Balls... Now with a new Snow-tivator conveyor belt
- The Snowplow Sweepers... Four arms and 12 pedestals
- The Yule Log Jam... Two teeter totters and one sweeper separating them. This week, we liked it so much, we put a ring on it.

The 24 will take on the course, and the 12 with the fastest times will advance to stage 2.

ADVANCING TO ROUND 2
Walter "The Cable Guy" Walker
Charlie Brown
Lauren "The Liar" Kiggins
John "Hair Metal" Delong
Nicole Clarke
Jasmine Edwards
Jackie "The Jack O'Lantern" Carter Jr.
"Surprisingly Single" Andrew Deaver
Amy Butters
"Mr. Postman" Ty Langford
Chris "Mick Jagger" Kasper
Don Pearson

THE SKI LIFT

Contestants will start above elevated platforms ten feet above icy cold water. As they go around and around, they have to get over sweeper arms that will be ascending higher and higher as the time progresses. The six people who last the longest will advance, but the last person to hang on will receive $1000.

ADVANCING TO ROUND 3
Walter "The Cable Guy" Walker - $1000 BONUS
Lauren "The Liar" Kiggins
John "Hair Metal" Delong
"Surprisingly Single" Andrew Deaver
"Mr. Postman" Ty Langford
Chris "Mick Jagger" Kasper

THE WIPEOUT ICE ARENA

It's our newest challenge, and each of the three rounds will start with a wintry whirl around the Dizzy Dummy. First up, players will have to dive off of the Slap Shot onto the Penalty Box. Then it's onto the Crankshaft, the Knee Sweeper, and the Spinning Platform onto the finish. Wipeout at the Crankshaft or the Knee Sweeper, and you can start back there. And to make things worse... Henson's out of the booth and onto the course to really "puck" with the players' heads a little.

THE WINTER WIPEOUT ZONE

Boldly and coldly going forward where no player has gone before... the Winter Wipeout Zone! Tonight...

- The Bobsled Blastoff
- The Icy Stairway From Hell: a half-dozen of hydraulic blocks.
- The Frostbite: three toothy sweepers as you make your way from one side to the others
- The Sinister Snowflake: no two wipeouts are the same in this gauntlet.

Fifty large goes to the quickest time.

First up, Mr. Postman Ty Langford. A small miscalculation on the stairs lead to a huge drop and an even huger swim. He makes it in two, but he's getting bitten by the Frostbite... Third time's a charm. Time is ticking away, but he survives with a time of 15:53.

Walter already has $1000 in the bank, and he's looking to upgrade to a premium $50,000. His time at the Snowflakes is really taking it out of him, but he makes with 25 seconds to spare. His time: 15:28.

Walter likes how Andrew Deaver's time in the Wipeout Zone is starting out. He gets whipped by the Stairway from Hell... and he's had enough. He utters the Q word, and like that, WALTER WALKER HOOKS US UP WITH $50,000 AND THE TITLE OF WIPEOUT CHAMPION!

Twenty-four more players try not to get chopped and screwed by the courses next time. Until then, goodnight... and Big Balls.
