Episode 4.13 - Spring Wipeout: The Most Dramatic Rose Ceremony EVER!
May 5

There's an old Buddhist saying... "Winter never fails to turn into spring." We had the winter of our discontent for the last eight episodes... But today, here comes the sun! Get ready for SPRING WIPEOUT!

THE QUALIFIER

Tonight, the Qualifier consists of...

- Spring Training... It's a zipline toward a platform or two. Oh, did we mention a giant boxing glove at the end? Because THAT's important.
- The Big Balls... Now with a new SPRING-ovator conveyor belt. No spring there, though. Plenty of spring on the Balls, though.
- The Spring Fling... Another zipper going to the giant swing going in the wrong direction.
- The Wipeout Kitchen... candy is dandy, but rolling pin hurdles are ... hurty.

The 24 spring breakers will take on the course, and the 12 with the fastest times will advance to stage 2.

ADVANCING TO ROUND 2
- Perry "Ladies' Man" Carter
- Jamie "The Cosmetologist" Leonard
- Deanna "The Professional" Fellows
- Genein "The Recording Artist" Letford
- Courtney "The Eye" Scales
- Craig Sinclair
- Suzanne Smith
- Matt "Ginger Ninjer" Corrigan
- Robyn "Hood" Kalota
- Ben "The Principal" Carpenter
- Matt "The Fashionista" Franchina
- Bill "The Proposer" Carlson

THE SCARE-OUSEL

What's a spring fling without a carnival classic? Contestants will start on the red track, grab a red dangler, and make it to a red spot that leads to a yellow dangler and do the same thing with a yellow dangler. If they wipeout before the spot, they'll have to go back to the start, but the first six to avoid the sweeper arms and make it to the finish target move on to the next stage.

ADVANCING TO ROUND 3
- Jamie "The Cosmetologist" Leonard
- Matt "Ginger Ninjer" Corrigan
- Robyn "Hood" Kalota
- Ben "The Principal" Carpenter
- Matt "The Fashionista" Franchina
- Bill "The Proposer" Carlson

THE SUPERTRAMP

Our final six are standing on launchpads waiting for a sweeper arm to come around. They have to jump over it to stay in the game. If they get knocked over or if they go under the bar, they're out. Last person standing in each round moves on to the Wipeout Zone.

THE SPRING WIPEOUT ZONE

Back and with a spring fresh smell, it's the toughest of the courses, the Spring Wipeout Zone! Tonight's lineup...

- The Chairborne: a rocket chair will launch our players into the Zone.
- The Over and Out: two rotating cliffhangers with floors on both the top and the bottom... but the bottom... or is it the top... has a hole.
- The Point Break: climb up one end, then time the slide down to the other.
- The Coin Toss: heads or tails, it adds up to eight spinning platforms on to the finish.

Fifty large goes to the quickest time.

First up, the Ginger Ninjer Matt Corrigan launches at 35 MPH into the night sky. And then into the drink. He uses the wedge technique on the Over and Out and it works for him, but he backflips into the water on the slide of Point Break. Perfect timing second time out. Coin Toss flips him, and he sets a time to beat of 8:36.

Meanwhile, Bill Carlson is down on the sidelines with his girlfriend. Bill is ready with the ring should he win the game. But in case he doesn't, he asks Jill if he can do it early. And he does... And ... IT'S GOOD! Our first Wipeout proposal. Now that he's already a winner, let's get back to business. It takes him seven minutes just to get to the center platform of Over and Out... and he has one minute to get past the other two obstacles... doesn't happen. At least he has the love of a good woman.

But can Matt Franchina the Fashionista snipe the cash away? He's well ahead of Ginger Ninjer's time as he arrives to Point Break, but he is now fashionably late. It's going to be close at the Coin Toss. He looks like he's going to make it... BUT HE SLIPS AT THE FINISH PLATFORM! GIVE THE MONEY TO THE NINJA!

This episode, already one for the books. That was literally the icewater. Come back for more of said ice water and more wipeouts. Until then, good night... and big balls.
