Episode 4.3 - Winter Wipeout: Baby, It's Blob Outside
January 27

America's favorite obstacle course has just been winterized, and 'tis the season to be freezin'. On our course today, ice slicked spills, frosbitten falls, and bone-chilling tumbles...

THE WINTER WONDERLAND QUALIFIER

Tonight, the Qualifier consists of...

- Back by popular demand, the Winter Brr Blob. Get on the blob, and the weight of the world will launch you into the course.
- The Big Balls... Now with a new Snow-tivator conveyor belt
- The Snowplow Sweepers... Four arms and 12 pedestals
- The Yule Log Jam... Two teeter totters and one sweeper separating them.

The 24 will take on the course, and the 12 with the fastest times will advance to stage 2.

ADVANCING TO ROUND 2
"Hand Talker" Steven Barnthouse Jr.
"The Last Human" Robert Ponce
Mike "Perfect 10" Camerota
Adriana "Lucky 13" Carreon
Terry "Mad Flow" Archer
Brad "Mr. Awesome" Hitchcock
Susan "The Suze" Edie
Mika "Mikachu" Mori
Kenna Ryman
Josephine Ung
Betsy Uhler
Dana "Daddy Longlegs" Logsdon

THE SKI LIFT

Contestants will start above elevated platforms ten feet above icy cold water. As they go around and around, they have to get over sweeper arms that will be ascending higher and higher as the time progresses. The six people who last the longest will advance, but the last person to hang on will receive $1000.

ADVANCING TO ROUND 3
"Hand Talker" Steven Barnthouse Jr.
"The Last Human" Robert Ponce
Mike "Perfect 10" Camerota
Terry "Mad Flow" Archer
Mika "Mikachu" Mori
Dana "Daddy Longlegs" Logsdon - $1000 BONUS

THE 7-LETTER WORD

Starting at the W, the contestants will have to avoid two sweeper arms on the W and the sliding I, a P puddle, a bouncing E plank, a spinning O, the U hurdles, and the T finish. If they wipeout before the P, E, and U, you swim back to the end of the last checkpoint. We're playing three heats, and the winners go on to the Wipeout Zone. That's right, three instead of four.

And this week... there's even a bear.

THE WINTER WIPEOUT ZONE

Boldly and coldly going forward where no player has gone before... the Winter Wipeout Zone! Tonight...

- The Bobsled Blastoff
- The Icy Stairway From Hell: a half-dozen of hydraulic blocks.
- The Frostbite: three toothy sweepers as you make your way from one side to the others
- The Sinister Snowflake: no two wipeouts are the same in this gauntlet.

Fifty large goes to the quickest time.

First up, Steven Barnthouse Jr., who got second place in the qualifier. Steven's making good time in the Stairway. He makes it in one, the first one to do so this season... and the Frostbite makes him pay for it. He tumbles down the exit ramp and has to go all the way back to the start of the Frostbite because both of his feet have not planted on the platform. But he clocks in a time of 12:10.53.

Next up, Mikachu Mika Mori. A great blastoff into the Zone, but how will our fun-sized shorty handle the Icy Stairway from Hell? Her size is a disadvantage here (she's five-foot nothing), but she makes it at the four-minute mark. She outruns the Frostbite, taking the lead, but will she hold onto it? SHE DOES! Time to beat now, 8:13.

Can Daddy Longlegs, Dana Logsdon, beat it? He's been money all day... but not in the Zone. He has three minutes to clear the Sinister Snowflakes. WHAT A FINISH! The final time... 7:58, and DANA LOGSDON, WHO'S YOUR DADDY? HE HITS THE MONEY SPOT FOR $51,000!

Twenty-four more players try not to get chopped and screwed by the courses next time. Until then, goodnight... and Big Balls.
