The Good
Guys Should Win in the End
December 11
It was all about the love last round in
Gabon, but a plan by Corinne to snuff out Matty ended up backfiring.
That's sure to set off some nerves as the competition heads down to the
wire.
Night 33: Silence.
Matty thinks he got a vote for Kenny, who
wants him out of the game. Kenny was basically playing jury votes to the
final three. Matty doesn't want to hear ANY excuse from him, even the
story on the Immunity Idol. Kenny & Crystal are allied with Sugar, and
she sees that as the strongest she's had. Crystal's regretting not
writing Matty's name down. She'll try to make up for it in the next
Immunity Challenge.
The question remains, though.. Why didn't
Corinne play the Idol tonight? Bob apologizes to Kenny for putting him
in an awkward position. This is what he gets for being a nice guy? Bob
offers his next Immunity... a move Kenny was hoping for. A huge power
play.
Day 34...
R-CHALLENGE: Survivor Basketball (for
a trip to a gorilla sanctuary, lunch, shower, and sleep and the right to
Exile)
One end of an obstacle course... a
basket. The other end... balls. First tribesman to three wins.
Winner: Bob. He decides to share it
with... Crystal. And Kenny. Two's fun. Three's a party. They're going to
see gorilla. Susie Q is going to Exile.
At the reward, the threesome watch the
wildlife... do their thing. After arriving, they eat at a hut.
Now it's time to talk strategy... Can
they get Sugar on board to take out Matty? Bob thinks so, so says his
integrity. Kenny says he doesn't have to give it to him the first time.
But if he doesn't do it, he's not a man of his word. In the end, Bob
believes that it's best for Kenny to make that decision.
Showers. New clothes... and two rangers
from Africa's Eden, telling them about the gorilla project, aiming to
save the animals from poaching by hunters. And believe me, they're
beautiful creatures, especially the silverback gorillas.
Day 35...
Susie knows Sugar has the idol, so she
just sits back and enjoys it.
Back at camp... it's a different story.
Matty's gunning for Crystal or Kenny. Sugar says that Kenny's next if
Matty wins it. He gives her the riot act for being the swing, but at the
same time, Matty's the physical threat... and no one will vote for
Sugar. Will she give Matty the idol? Nope. Screw that. Matty's basically
on her own. He needs to win the next Immunity Challenge.
The chopper from Africa's Eden returns
with the reward winners... And Kenny immediately picks up that Matty's
mad at him. Crystal tries to justify that. Let him be scared. Karma's a
bitch in this game. Matty asks her why she changed the game. Crystal
says that Matty is the one who's changed. Sugar... has no idea what's
going on. Kenny acts like a weak guy, and Crystal's a bully. She's
starting to see the two for who they are, and Matty finally has a
teammate again. Sugar, Matty, Bob, and Sue to the end? DEAL. Crystal
goes first.
Matty hopes he has the strength to
finish.
Day 36...
I-CHALLENGE: We Wear the Mask
Study the features of a Gabonese mask.
Then take three bags of pieces and recreate that mask. First one to do
it wins Immunity. Oh and there's ONE MORE THING... You will be
blindfolded.
Some take the bags right away. Others
study the mask, but Sugar, Bob, and Kenny are first to start on the
mask.
And Crystal keeps wandering off course.
Bob thinks he has it... Nope.
Susie's... lost. Kenny thinks he has
it... Nope.
Bob thinks he has it... WINNER!
Kenny hatches a plan to get the necklace
and vote Bob out. Crystal wants to vote out Matty. Kenny tells Bob that
he's scared. Will there be "the four" still? All Kenny knows for sure is
that if Bob gives him the necklace, he goes home. If not, he looks like
a schmuck.
Sugar wants to be aligned with the good
guys, though. She goes to Bob about Kenny's plan... Where does Susie
stand? She... doesn't stand anywhere. Bob hasn't seen anything that
would lead him to trust Sugar either way.
Sugar tells the others that Bob could
give up the necklace at Tribal. If not, then Matty will be going home
instead, says Kenny. Sugar tells Matty to let her do the thinking. "Just
vote for Crystal." She's going to play the idol at Tribal because it's
her last chance to do so.
Night 36: Tribal.
On the jury: Marcus, Charlie, Randy, and
Corinne.
Bob's on a streak. He's a legitimate
threat. Kenny sings Bob's praises. Matty also sings Bob's praises. Susie
says that it's hard to be away. You miss bits and pieces of information.
Kenny admits to flopping. Bob says that they've since renegotiated
things. Kenny makes the case that he's in danger tonight. Crystal
thought that Bob chose her because she hasn't been on a reward. Matty
knows that Bob knows where the alliances lie. Kenny and Crystal beg to
differ. So how important is the deal that Bob made tonight? Very.
Matty's feeling vulnerable.
After thinking long and hard... Bob is keeping Immunity.
He doesn't think Kenny's going home tonight.
Crystal: MATTY - "You wrote my name down
one time, and it's time for me to pay you back."
Matty: CRYSTAL - "I've been waiting for this day a long time, and I'm
happy it's finally arrived."
Sugar: CRYSTAL - "You don't know how to deal with people. Good luck with
that jury over there."
Before the reveal, Sugar decides to play
the Immunity Idol... on Matty. "Take this cursed thing away." All votes
for Matty are now null and void.
The rest of the votes...
Kenny: MATTY
Bob: CRYSTAL
Susie: CRYSTAL
It's unanimous. Crystal... THE TRIBE HAS
SPOKEN.
We're now down to the final five. Next
time, Matty, Sugar, Susie, Bob, or Kenny... one of them is a
millionaire. Which one? We'll find out together.
