The Brains
Behind Everything
November 13
It's been all Kota, all the time as the
tribes think that they're merging at a feast. Instead, a discarded
Immunity Idol and a tribal reshuffle turns into a missed opportunity for
Marcus, who ends up on the next plane out of Gabon thanks to a quick
power play from Kenny and Crystal. Now only nine remain.
Night 24: "You impressed me."
The Kota tribe returns to camp without
Marcus, and everyone seems to be gravitating toward Kenny for having
vanquished the vanquished. Kenny's now standing up for himself, being
the cause of TWO blindsides and hoping for a third against Bob. Bob: "If
I'm not in a merge, I'm history... even though I teach science. That's a
joke."
Day 25: "It's frustrating."
There's nothing to cook at Fang, and
there's no fire to cook it. We've got mail with a red golf flag...
"It will be fun, long drives and short
putts,
You may need more practice than anyone thinks.
A once in a lifetime "cultural trip"
For those that perform best on the links."
And there's a slingshot. Time to start
practicing.
R-CHALLENGE: Survivor Golf (for a trip
to a Gabonese village to view a dance demonstration; Corinne sits out)
First of all, Corinne and Charlie wonder
why their alliancemate is gone.
Using the slighshot, aim and launch your
ball into the hole. Lowest number of shots wins the hole. Best two out
of three wins reward
Hole 1: 300 yards. Kota sinks it in
three.
Hole 2: 225 yards. Fang ties it up in
three.
Hole 3: 200 yards, all uphill. Kenny
overshoots it a bit. Matty shoots it under. Kenny overshoots it again.
Matty ... overthinks this a little. Charlie and Randy tell him to just
drop it... Randy with about 120 decibels. But it's dropped for a win.
Not only are we heading to a reward, but Bob is heading to Exile.
The reward consists of the tribe walking
into a village where Matty finally knows the thrill of victory. They
start by getting beaten with wet leaves and robed in ceremonial clothes.
Then they eat while watching a show. And being in the show. Randy...
thinks one of the girls likes him. Oh my.
And Matty got all up in that. He thinks
he'll be voted out next, but hey, he got a break.
Day 26: "No, don't get stuck again."
Kenny starts the day by getting his
outrigger stuck in the lake. He's not an outdoorsman. That shows. But he
thinks he's getting the hang of this game of Survivor as he catches
three calopias for two beautiful ladies. He's working to be the
provider, but he will take people out when he needs to.
Meanwhile, in Exile, Bob looks for an
Immunity Idol that may or may not exist. He goes through all the
clues... and sure enough, it's not there. He suggests that Sugar has the
Idol in her possession. So he does the next best thing... find a
rock that looks like a skull and glue some knick-knacks to it to form...
a fake immunity idol.
Day 27: "We got mail!"
"Today it's not important if you're
faster, stronger or smarter.
To avoid going home tonight, be the best fire starter."
Sounds individual, right? Let's see...
I-CHALLENGE: Firestarter
We bring in the two tribes... and Bob...
and Jeff says the magic words...
"Tribal Immunity is no longer what you
seek, because today, INDIVIDUAL Immunity is what you're playing for,
because you are no longer two tribes. Drop your buffs; you are merged."
Kota and Fang are no more, replaced with
a blue tribe to be named later.
It's simple, really... Make a fire. All
you have is a flint, a steel, and some supplies. Burn through your rope,
and you aer guaranteed a one-in-eight shot at a million.
Bob's the first to get sparks. Susie's
the first to get flame. Matty's the first to get an injury. Susie's the
first to catch her rope. Winner... SUSIE!
The new tribe is welcomed with rice,
canned food, pears, beans, coffee, and ... a little sojourn back into
the game. Randy and Charlie's group are voting for Crystal. He's
confident that Matty, Kenny, Susie, and Crystal are four, leaving Sugar
as the swing. She wants to get rid of Randy. We could do that right
after this vote. Corinne is forced to act like she cares about her. Kota
Foursome to the end. Corinne finds that an easy buy.
Meanwhile, the counter alliance want to
target Charlie, because he's "the brains behind everything". And Kenny
just made that up right now. "I'll trade that Idol for his life. Serves
him right."
Kenny tells Sugar that Charlie's the
brain behind everything, and she soaks it up. So will she vote for
Charlie or Crystal? Sugar doesn't trust Crystal OR Kenny... OR Randy OR
Corinne. "Both sides want my vote, so I have no clue what to do, but I
don't owe anything to anybody."
Oh, and the new tribal name... Nobag.
Gabon spelled backwards.
Night 27: Tribal...
First Jury member, Marcus, is brought
out. Remember, no talking to the Jury.
Randy talks about the tiff during Reward
challenge. He had a sure thing, Matty had a 9 times out of 10. Charlie
hopes we learn from it. Randy didn't miss his old tribesmates. Crystal
wants to know what his issue is. Randy tells Crystal EXACTLY what his
issue is. "You and your posse ran the tribe like it was a gang."
Crystal's been pretty vocal, but she doesn't regret any of it. If you
want the truth, this is Crystal. Charlie thinks that selfish badgering
doesn't make sense. Kenny says opinions begin to change after a while.
He thinks Charlie's a nice guy. Feeling's mutual. Kenny changed in
Randy's eyes. Sugar thinks that Exile is serving the purpose of getting
people to talk about her MORE.
Susie has immunity... and she's not
giving it up.
Randy: CC - "Bitch."
Kenny: "Sorry, CHARLEY."
Charlie: CRYSTAL - "You took out my
Marcus, and that makes me really mad."
Rest of the votes...
Bob: CRYSTAL
Corinne: CRYSTAL
Matty: CHARLIE
Susie; CHARLIE
Crystal: CHARLIE
And Sugar's vote is... CHARLIE. By a vote
of 5-4, the TRIBE HAS SPOKEN. |
