Nothing Tastes Better Than $500
November 20

“Ken” it really be happening? “Ken” it really be true? Ken has gone from about the weakest position in the game to nearly the strongest, and now with Charlie gone the plot thickens. Randy swore that he was on the way out. Corinne feels extremely threatened and Bob is clenching his fake idol with all his might.

Speaking of that fake idol, he showed it to Sugar and told her it was fake. As if she didn’t know.

Corinne and Randy are having a venting session and they decide that Matty is the only person that they can get to flip. As they fetch the tree mail they both agree that neither of them is capable of being fake to a person that they hate.

And with the tree mail read we learn that it is time for the famous Survivor auction. Corinne holds onto her 500 dollars saying that the only thing that tastes better than 500 dollars is one million. We’ll see if she sticks to her guns.

First item up for bid is beer. Randy gets it by outbidding Sugar. Sold for 180 dollars.

The next item will stay covered. For 320 Ken buys it winning the right to send someone to exile and take their money. He sends Bob picking up 500 dollars in the process.

Another covered item lets Sugar outbid Randy for 340. She wins chocolate and peanut butter. She is psyched.

How about a hot bath and a clean set of clothes? Randy jumps to 320 but Susie trumps him at 340.

And now the big stuff. A Cheeseburger and fries. Matty wins it for 400.

Covered item. Ken lets Randy take it for 280. It’s Spaghetti Garlic Bread and Wine. Will Ken’s saved money pay off?

Next item is a glass bottle with a note. The note is a huge advantage in the next immunity challenge.

Corinne jumps to 500 and Ken chooses not to outbid her. Corinne now has her security blanket.

And finally, 20 dollars buys the last item for the tribe. Randy buys it and there are chocolate chip cookies for all.

Interestingly when Randy serves them out, Sugar passes on her cookie (maybe she had too much PB and chocolate?) She says to give her cookie to Matty, but (follow closely on this one) Randy says that the cookie is not hers to give and gives that cookie to Corinne. Corinne then asks to take only half and the other half only heads to Matty’s mouth. Then trying to be magnanimous, Randy offers the last cookie to Sugar which this time she takes passing it to Matty.

So the finally cookie count is:

Matty 2.5
Corinne 1.5
Most people their rightful 1
And Sugar and Randy 0

Go figure.

Back at camp, Randy is fuming (nothing new to see here). Sugar seems to be taking some delight in Randy’s strife. (Shocking, I know). And Corinne and Randy finally get Matty aside and make a plea. They try to tell him that he won’t make the final 3.

But 5 minutes later, Matty is in the hut with his alliance of 5, driving the order of elimination to be Bob, Randy, Corinne. Looks like everything is status quo, but Sugar isn’t too sure she likes how hard Matty is now playing the game.

Regardless, she won’t have much time to think about this as Randy has decided to set the camp ablaze (verbally speaking). He starts chiding everyone and the alliance of 5 have pretty much decided that Randy needs to go now. That’s good for him, because Randy wants the votes.

Randy is hoping that Bob will find the immunity idol and give it to him allowing him to blindside Susie.

Umm…Yeah. This should go well.

Immunity time!

Everyone will race over a series of balance beam carrying bags of puzzle pieces. The first two will move on to the final stage where they will have to stack the puzzle pieces like dominoes. Once the pieces are set, they will set off the domino rally to raise a flag and win immunity. Oh, and by the way, you’ll be setting the dominoes while maneuvering through a trip wire maze that may knock your dominoes down early.

So what’s Corinne’s advantage? She moves directly to the final round. So which two Survivors will join Corinne? Without too much competition it’s Ken and Matty.

Final round. Survivors go!

Ken decides to head to the end and work backwards while Matty and Corinne work from the front. While Ken’s strategy seems to speed up his building his first push of the dominoes is a failure. The same can be said for Matty and now all eyes are on Corinne who has been working slow and steady from the start. Well, by the time Corinne is done, both the boys are done too. It’s the dominoes that will race to the finish.

They all start their pieces at nearly the same time and Corinne’s pieces are the first to fail. Then Matty’s fail, but Ken has finally succeeded.

Ken wins immunity!

So let’s go back to that fake immunity idol for a moment… I’m sure many of you have been hoping for another fake immunity idol moment of humor. Well, so has Sugar. She has convinced Bob to give the fake idol to Randy and the pass has been made. Let’s head to tribal.

Randy stirs the pot a little more, trying to direct votes his way. Corinne aids and then we have some priceless vote speeches.

Corinne: I vote for you Susie because payback’s a B****

Sugar: (voting for Randy) You are a disgusting, old, hot-headed, chauvinistic, alcoholic, bigot and you need to grow up before you die alone. Loser!

Randy: (voting for Susie) This vote is not strategic, it’s strictly personal.

Crystal: (Voting for Randy and loud enough that everyone can hear) You have made my life hell from day 1, forget you, go home, goodbye!

And now as if this couldn’t get any better…

Sugar is cracking up in her seat while Jeff tallies the votes. Jeff announces that the time to play the immunity idol is now and Randy plays the fake.

The alliance of five is busting into tears. Happy tears. Jeff announces that the idol given to him is fake and the smiles are wiped from Corinne and Randy’s faces.

The votes are counted and Randy, the tribe has spoken. Randy lowers his torch with a thud and he is nothing but a memory.

What could possibly happen to top this? Tune in next time to find out.
