Team Five-Year Itch/Team Double Trouble
July 30

When we last left you, Diana (and her partner Andy) were playing for $25,000 bankable with only one life between them. The game... Caddy Stack.

LEVEL 7: CADDY STACK: The contestant must use one of 350 dimples on a golf ball to stack three of them for a three-count.

Only attempt (Diana) ... COMPLETE! (:37; $25,000). Now let's play with house money.

LEVEL 8: FRANKENSTEIN: The contestant, arms out-stretched, must pick up three yard sticks with size-D batteries balanced at both ends and place them back at the starting point after walking around the pickup point.

Only attempt (Diana) ... COMPLETE! (:00; $50,000)

And then... Andy proposes... Diana, of course... says yes!

LEVEL 9: UPHILL BATTLE: One contestant must use the back of a spoon to keep three marbles active upon an inclined surface without them rolling over.

Only attempt (Diana) ... FAIL (TABLE OUT at :55; GAME OVER). But Diana's leaving with a ring, and the team is leaving with $25,000!

Our next team are a set of identical twins, Emily & Abigail (call her Abby) (both 13; Woodland Hills, CA. They need the money to buy a new house with a few more bathrooms.

MILESTONE LEVEL 1: MAD DOG: One contestant must hold a ruler with two boxes of breath mints attached, then using mad-dog-like reflexes, the contestant must empty the boxes. Another contestant must do likewise.

First attempt...  COMPLETE! (:17; $1000)

LEVEL 2: KNOCK IT OFF: Using a ball of yarn and a contestant's lassoing skills, the contestant must knock off three out of six soda cans perched at various heights while keeping the bottom one perched.

First attempt (Emily)...  FAIL (TIME OUT, TWO lives remaining)

Second attempt (Emily)... COMPLETE! (:11; $2000)

LEVEL 3: RULER OF THE WORLD: The contestant must guide a marble down a ruler so that it comes to rest in a hole on the ruler's far end.

Attempt 1 (Emily)... FAIL (TIME OUT; ONE life remaining)

FINAL Attempt (Abby)... FAIL! (TIME OUT; GAME OVER). But the twins will leave with $1000.

Will anyone reach the quarter-million-dollar minute? Stay tuned...
