Spectrum Surfers/Team Close the Gap
July 23

Last hour, Eric & Rey ripped the 60 Second Circle for $10,000. Now it's onto $15,000 and a possible shot at $250,000 with all three of their lives intact.

LEVEL 6: IRON BOARD MAN: Using an ironing board, the players must navigate a marble to one of three designated holes. The marble must be held for a three-count.

First attempt...  COMPLETE! (:19, $15,000)

MILESTONE LEVEL 7: CYCLONE: The contestant must spin marbles inside of three soda bottles at a time. The spins must be simultaneously held for a three-count.

As a reminder, one player can only do three attempts in a row.

First attempt (Eric)...  FAIL (ATTEMPT OUT at :47; TWO lives remaining)

Second attempt (Rey)... FAIL (ATTEMPT OUT at :51; ONE life remaining)

FINAL attempt (Eric)... FAIL (ATTEMPT OUT at :25; GAME OVER). But they will do a lot of good with $10,000.

We need another team. Let's meet'em. It's Hannah (35; San Diego) & Jacobi (41; Palmdale, CA), a long-distance couple calling themselves Team Close the Gap. They're looking toward getting closer geographically.... by having him meet her sister in Ghana, West Africa.

MILESTONE LEVEL 1: BABY RATTLE: Using the shake, rattle, or roll technique, a contestant must transport all of the gumballs from one two-liter plastic soda bottle to another. This must be done TWICE.

First attempt (Hannah)...  COMPLETE! (:27; $1000)

LEVEL 2: MOVIN' ON UP: The contestants are given two stacks of 39 blue cups and one red one. Using alternating hands, they must move the red cup from the bottom to the top and back to the base by taking blue cups from the top and moving them to the bottom.

First attempt...  COMPLETE! (:06, $2000)

LEVEL 3: READY SPAGHETTI: Using a single strand of dry spaghetti in their mouths, the contestants must transfer pull-tab soda cans from one table to another, building a three-can pyramid. No hands allowed.

First attempt... FAIL (TIME OUT; TWO lives remaining)

Second attempt... COMPLETE! (:19, $3000)

LEVEL 4: BACK FLIP: One contestant must flip four pencils from the back of their hand and catch them in mid-air. This must be repeated six times, with two pencils added for each progression until there is a stack of 14.

Attempt 1 (Hannah)... FAIL (TIME OUT; ONE life remaining).

FINAL attempt (Jacobi)... COMPLETE! (:18; $5000)

MILESTONE LEVEL 5: GETTIN' JUGGY WITH IT: The contestant must stack four empty five-gallon water bottles in a free-standing stack.

Only attempt (Jacobi)...  FAIL (TIME OUT; GAME OVER). BUT they do leave with $1000.

Can anyone beat the 60 Second Circle? Find out with another back-to-back next week.
